1939 Ford Other Tudor Sedan Hot Rod Description

1939 Ford Sedan Tudor Street Rod Hotrod Vintage Car with a rebuilt Chevy 350 (7.5L) Smallblock engine. Used, heavily modified, many performance and safety improvements. Does not drive. Many of the original vintage parts free with the vehicle, including the original engine.
OWNER MUST PROMPTLY PICK UP AT CAR LOCATION IN CHEVY CHASE, MD.
This is a many-year project which I must abandon due to moving. The 1939-1940 models are particularly prized because no cars were made during the war, so they were babied. This is so eyecatching; it's like it stepped out of a vintage gangster movie. It has many more features and safety features (plus the many I added) than earlier cars but is simple to work on and pretty much all parts are sold on the aftermarket, no hunting down some weird missing item. I've done all the hard part: modern drivetrain, rust repairs, etc. You are picking this up at a steal.
* Interior is bare, but otherwise almost all parts for completion are included. No battery, incomplete exhaust. Not currently running as the engine has sat for several years, but it was a running rolling chassis.* Engine is a1978 Chevy 350 Small Blockthat I havemeticulously rebuiltand blueprinted, with aCorvette manual transmissionandNova rear end. Light cam upgrade, aftermarket heads. intake and exhaust manifold, new carburetor, aftermarket ignition. This engine should deliver some serious horsepower.* Many safety improvements includingFront Disk brakes, Aftermarket breakaway steering, aircraft grade plumbing for brakes and fuel installed.*Body rust-stripped, conditioned and primed. There were some rust holes in the typical places (fender wells, etc) when I acquired it, these have been repaired. However, there is light surface rust from being in a damp garage; this should clean up easily. See closeup picture.* Chassis, fuel tank, etc hav been rust-stripped, primed and painted. All major chassis parts painted and detailed.* Body is complete includingoriginal fenders, running boards, hood and trunk. Almost all of the original trim is there, but has pitting.* Ron Francis wiring kit included. Absolutely beautiful aftermarket modern gauges.
*Aftermarket aluminum radiatorwith enough capacity to add air conditioning later.*Repair Booksfor engine, rear end, transmission and several books for car included.*Engine has not been run in several yearsand so you must check interior condition and lubrication before running. I cannot guarantee but it should be straightforward for any machine shop to attend to.* Included are theoriginal V8 engineand many original parts: steering wheel, glass. Much rust here, but much is restorable. Dash has much surface rust.
I love this car dearly and have invested so many hours rescuing it from decay, but I have movid to a new state and do not have the facilities to complete it.If you are looking for a straightforward hot rod project this is the one. The parts and accessories alone are likely more than the opening bid price.
You must supply your own trailer. If you are taking the original engine you will need a dolly as well. I will have a friend meet you to load it in. Cash or certified check only: personal check NOT ACCEPTED.
I cannot offer guarantees or returns but I have endeavored to tell you everything good and bad about the car. Message me with questions.
