1928 Ford Model A Description

For sale is a 1928 Ford Model A Roadster - this is a great running and driving car, and is an absolute blast to drive. This is a real Ford Model A Roadster, not a reproduction - this is an original black plate car as well. This vehicle has been a Northern California car since it was originally purchased from Ford when it was new, and I have some information on the prior owners/history of the vehicle. This is a clean titled vehicle.

The vehicle includes the following -

Powertrain

The roadster is powered up front by a 1928 Model A flathead four cylinder - the four cylinder runs great, and has some speed parts to wake it up a bit. Installed is a "Burns" two carburetor manifold with two rebuilt Stromberg 81 carburetors. The "gravity feed" fuel delivery was upgraded to an electric fuel pump to reliably feed these carburetors fuel. The exhaust pipe is a baffled "driveshaft style" lake header from Gear Drive that was nickel plated - gives the car a great sound.

- Model A Drivetrain

- Original Burns 2 Carburetor Manifold

- 2 Recently Rebuilt Stromberg 81 Carburetors

- Stromberg 2x2 Fuel Linkages

- Gear Drive "Drive Shaft Style" Lake Header

- PowerGen Alternator built to look like a stock Generator

- Electric Fuel Pump

- Cloth Covered, Copper Core Spark Plug Wire with Rajah Terminals

Electrical

The vehicle was originally a 6 Volt, positive ground setup - I've upgraded the vehicle to 12 Volt, negative ground and left the vehicle as is. I've added a fuse box, 1937 Ford Tail Lamps, and the PowerGen alternator for the Model A. This PowerGen gives you the advantage of an alternator but looks like a stock Model A Generator.

- Converted the vehicle from 6V to 12V

- 12 Volt Battery

- 1937 Ford Tail Lamps

- Cloth Wiring and Cloth Wire Loom

- PowerGen Alternator built to look like a stock Generator

- Dash Gauges are operational and work

Wheels and Tires

Wheels are handpainted 1933 Ford 17" wire wheels, painted to match the vehicle's patina in a hot rod red color. Tires have about 100 miles on them, and are Firestone bias-ply tires from Coker.

- 1933 Ford 17" Wire Wheels

- New Firestone Bias Ply Tires

- 5.50 x 17 in Front

- 7.50 x 17 in Rear

- 5 Stock Wheels/Tires included

Body

As mentioned, this roadster is extremely fun to drive and is a healthy running traditional hot rod. The body is in excellent shape for its age, and has a beautiful patina. Included in the price are the following other items, all matching in paint color and patina - yours to keep or to sell if you'd like -

- 2 Front Fenders

- 2 Running Boards

- 2 Rear Fenders

- 1 Hood

- 1 Headlight Bar

I've got some other projects going on as well, and I haven't had the time to spend on this car. I'm open to best offers as well, but I'm not looking for low-ball offers. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions about the vehicle or anything else.
