1932 Ford 1/2 Ton Pickup HOTROD Description

" Viper Powered PT Cruiser Pickup Truck”, It was a show stopper at the 2001 SEMA show. Every year I was challenged with creating the next killer SEMA build, so that's when I said, let's start with the already popular Pt Cruiser, but wait, your all about horse power and the Pt only has a 4 cylinder 150 hp engine. So, my first thoughts were to go with a Mopar 360 cu.in. create motor, no still too small, let's do an original 426 HEMI, no, let's be more creative and drop a Viper V-10 in this thing and steal the show. Once I got my hands on the PT and the Viper Parts I totally disassembled the PT down to its body in white configuration. I then staged the body on the surface plate, tack welding the chassis stanchions to the sub-frames and cross braced the body so when I start cutting the roof off everything will stay square. Next, I welded the rear doors completely shut to the body getting it ready to apply the blue fine line tape to layout the pickup truck cut line. Once that was complete, I fired up the saws all and started cutting, once the truck outline was complete, I cut the rear hatch apart utilizing part of it for the pickup rear window. Next, I removed all the front-end sheet metal making room to shoe horn that massive Viper V-10 into place, first I measured the diameter of the engine so i could cut the fire wall, floor and rear tub areamaking room for the hand-crafted chassis and Viper rear suspension. I then staged the engine and trans into place and started building the chassis, incorporating rearsuspension, Viper Steering rack and securingthe body to the frame. Air Ride adjustable suspension, In a nut shell this custom PT Pickup features a unique front grill that takes the Chryslerfront logo to a new extreme, sweeping across the front and inviting the eye to investigate. The front fascia and custom taillights set off the uniquely-PT truck body. A custom rear roll pan, Tailgate spoiler, side exhaust, Tonneau cover, BBS wheels, Viper seats, Willwood brakes and lots more. "This is trulya collectors showcar, one of a kind, Not a daily driver" sold in as is condition
