1957 Ford Thunderbird in Rare Inca Gold color
1957 Ford Thunderbird Description
For sale is my gorgeous '57 Tbird in Inca Gold. I have had this car eight years and it has been a blast the whole time. I drive it about 1,000 miles per year. When I bought the car, it had 98,000 miles on it and I had it thoroughly checked out by a Tbird shop in Woodstock, GA where they pulled the engine and transmission and went through them to insure I would have no difficulties. The car has had about 6,000 miles since the engine was pulled and worked on.
In 2013, I had a complete body and paint job done to bring the car to an actual '57 Tbird color. It had been a 1959 Ford Truck red, which was beautiful, but just wrong. The car was born white, but the custom shop which did the paint and body work told me it had been several colors over it's life. They did a magnificent job on the paint, and the chrome looks like it was done last week. I had a completely new interior put in the car at the time of its painting.
It comes with wire wheels, wide white wall tires with about 4,000 miles on them, a white port hole hard top and a tan colored soft top located behind the seat. It has power brakes, steering and seat. The glass is excellent. I had a complete new muffler and exhaust system put on the car, also about 4,000 miles ago which makes a wonderful rumble.
Other items included are: Town and Country radio (not working) Modern CD, Radio, MP3 player in glove box Car cover Original Steel wheels included Original wheel covers included Chrome Ford Eyebrows Original Dealer Invoice (Ohio) Original owner's manual Original Service Manual Dealer Installed AC (does not blow cold) Original dealer brochures T Bird hats and shirts
I also have about 24 years worth of Early Bird Magazines from the Classic Thunderbird Club of America which includes tons of great info on how to get the most out of these classic beauties.
A word on rust: during the body and paint work in 2013, only one rust problem was found and it was in the corner of one of the doors. I have included photos which show the trunk and floor pans exposed during the restoration. No rust is found. The same for the frame and undercarriage.
