1974 Mustang II 2-Door Coupe--ONLY 32,769 ORIGINAL MILES--GREAT DRIVER
1974 Ford Mustang Base Coupe Description
Up for auction is a great little 1974 Mustang II Coupe. It has 32,769 original miles. One owner car, purchased new in El Dorado, AR at Marks Company Ford. Very original car with all maintenance items taken care of and ready to drive anywhere you want to go. This car turns more heads than you can believe. Everywhere I have been in it, someone wants to stop and look! The car has a great running 2.3 4 cylinder motor with a C-3 automatic transmission. Motor has new timing belt, water pump, thermostat, temperature sender, valve cover gasket, spark plugs, plug wires, radiator, hoses, and belts. Fresh oil change and new filter. Power steering works perfectly but the pump does have a small leak but nothing major at all. Transmission has new filter, fluid, and pan gasket. No leak from pan but a small leak from the shifter shaft where it goes into the side of the transmission. The car drives and handles great! It has all new bearings front and back. Also has new brakes. Up front it has new discs, calipers, pads, and hoses. Rear brakes have been replaced with all new wheel cylinders, shoes, drums, and all new hardware. It has new Monroe shocks on front and back. New stock size radial tires with whitewalls and only about 200 miles on them. The car has a new fuel tank, new sending unit, new hoses, and new fuel pump. It has a new muffler and tailpipe. The AC works great and it has a new compressor with no leaks. New battery and cables along with a new voltage regulator. The heater hoses have been bypassed at the moment but the heater core is good and doesn't leak, just needs new hoses and a temperature valve. The interior on this car overall is very good. The driver's seat shows some wear, but the other seats are very nice. Carpet is nice. Has nice FoMoCo Mustang floor mats. Dash is almost perfect with only one crack in the plastic right above the glove box. The headliner and sun visors are near perfect. The body is in excellent condition with only a couple of dings and some minor surface rust (all pictured). I would consider it to be 99% rust free. The doors open and close perfectly. The windows roll up and down easily with hardly any wear. The vinyl top is in almost perfect condition. Only one piece of molding on the passenger side has some surface rust. The windshield is original with no blemishes and/or cracks. It has the inspection sticker from 1997 and 1978 still on it!! New windshield wipers. All of the lights work. EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR WORKS EXCEPT FOR THE TACHOMETER AND THE HEATER. This is a fantastic piece of American history. There aren't too many of these left. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. I'm sure I have left something out. Thanks for looking and good luck!!
