1929 Ford Model A Description
The Jim Russell Model A Roadster. Built in 1958 in Salinas,Ca. Early 1928 Model "AR" (registered as a 1929) roadster body channeled over a '32 Frame, '32 Grille. 1955 Oldsmobile 324 CID bored .060" over, '56 #10 Heads that were just rebuilt by M+M cylinder heads Hayward,Ca. Isky solid cam, Isky adjustable rockers. Rare early Weiand Valve covers, Weiand 3x2 Intake, new Genuine Stromberg 97s, '39 Ford transmission, 41-48 Ford brakes, '40 Ford Rear Axle and rear cross member, new gas tank and fuel lines, new battery, Pertronix coil and Ignitor I, fresh plugs, wires, oil change, new wheel cylinders, new tires, Firestone 5.60-15 in front, and Towel City Racing Cheater slicks, rare chrome slotted wheels. Jim was a close friend of Rod Powell's. This roadster was in the family until I bought it over a year ago. Runs and drives great for an old Hot Rod built 60 years ago.
