1963 Ford Galaxie 500 Description

You are looking at what I believe to be one of the cleanest Ford Galaxie 500 four door sedan in the country! It is not a restored classic. It is an original from the state of Michigan! I have the original window sticker and shipping invoice. Let me give you a brief history of this Galaxie. It was ordered by L.F. Hoenicke. Jackson Ford in Portland Michigan was the dealer. It was Mr. Hoenicke sister Geraldine that gave him the money to purchase the auto. Mr. Hoenicke died in 1964. Geraldine kept the Galaxie. Every spring the local garage would pick up the Galaxie and check or change the fluids as necessary. Make sure the tires were fine. Just about every spring Geraldine would drive to the Upper Peninsula and stay for vacation. In the fall the 63 would be put up for winter. This went on until the mid 80,s. It sat in the garage until a great nephew purchased it. Then I bought the Galaxie. So it was a one family car until I purchased it. Now about the car. The black paint is beautiful! You have to be very close to see any faults. There are some brush touch ups. The 289 runs flawlessly. No smoke. Starts right up every time. The cruise-o-matic shifts as it would new. The bright work is incredible! The chrome has never been off the car! The stainless shines bright and never been buffed! The aluminum trim is very nice! Very few blemishes. The side trim is usually beat up. But on this 63 it is very nice! Underneath the 63 is extremely solid. There is surface rust. But no rust through anywhere! The fuel and gas gauge work. Oil pressure is a idiot light. Speedometer works fine. The weatherstripping is also great! The window fuzzies are like new. The window rubber is perfect! No water gets past. All of the windows work perfectly. All glass is stamped Ford. All of the doors shut easily. No rattles. Basically this is a extremely nice 63 Galaxie! This is a great car for going to shows or out to eat with the family. I do not have the means to add more photos to this comments section. I will send any photos you request.
