1986 Ford F-250 XLT Description

1986 Ford f-250 XLT loaded! Last year of the glass headlights. A real workhorse, runs and drives great! Has the original 6.9l International Harvester V8 non-turbo diesel that is designed to run all day. It has a couple small oil leaks but nothing major. Very little smoke and no blue smoke, very reliable. Has optional Dana 50 independent front end for performance and ride comfort. Transmission shifts fine with no slippage. Most everything works, even the mechanical cruise control. NEW A/C system, steering shaft with modern swivel(no more ribbon coupling), shocks, fuel lines, steering box and hoses, heater core, electric fuel pump, thermostat and diesel anti-freeze, and more. Rear fuel tank sending unit not registering on the gauge, but the tank selector works. 4x4 works but 4low takes a little practice to shift. KC lights not hooked up. External aftermarket tach not working. I have extra parts as well that goes with the truck. Over-sized tires and rims also available. Has the original GIANT metal radiator. I drove this truck to NY and back towing a boat in summer of 2017 with cruise control and A/C blasting, No structural rust, just some surface rust on the top of the cab. It has dents, dings and scratches, but the faded patina paint-job is now desirable. Weatherstripping is worn and cracked but parts are easily available. Check out J.C. Whitney and Bronco Graveyard.
