I'm selling my '69 Mustang. I've finally come to the conclusion that I'm never going to have the ability to get her back in action. Life has thrown me a number of curve balls so I'm reluctantly setting her free. She's in terrific shape - a California car almost all her life, except the last six years spent here in AZ. No rust cancer, just a little patina.
Originally manufactured in San Jose with a 302 V8. I found her in San Bernardino in 2012 while I was stationed in San Diego. I rescued her from her captors and brought her home to Arizona where she's been waiting to be reunited with the pavement ever since. I had a '71 429 Cobra Jet that I was planning on installing at some point, but had to sell it last year to make ends meet. As a consequence, I have some 429 related parts that I'll throw in if wanted. Someone threw a '75 460 (same block as a 429) into the engine bay with what I'm assuming is an automatic trans attached, though I've never crawled under to identify it, and it goes with her. She came from the factory with a ford 8" rear, which is still there. I bought a bulletproof Ford 9" with 3.73 gearing from a 60s Galaxie that I was going to swap it out with, which will also go with the car. The interior upholstery was stripped out by the previous owner. I bought an original rear bench that's rip/tear-free and the original interior rear quarters are still there, along with the gauge cluster, steering wheel, center console, shifter, etc. See photos.
With the exception of the windshield, which is brand new but not mounted, the glass is all original, in place, and crack-free. The rear leaf springs are worn out and there is no radiator. No major dings or dents, but a few minor ones. Again, see photos. I've accumulated a lot of parts since I've had her, both new-in-box and original, including an original hood shaker scoop, air intake, new door handles, new front bumper, etc. More listed below - not a complete list. I even purchased an original manual pedal assembly (brake/clutch/gas) as I intended to convert from the original automatic setup to manual.
Finally, I have a clean California title in-hand, in my name, and ready to go. Classic ponies are getting rarer, and '69s even more so. This one comes with most of the stuff you'd need to get it going, and would make a great and relatively pain-free project. I may potentially be able to assist with delivering her if you're within 50 miles or so. My name is Chris. Thanks for your interest.
