Please read description and review all photos and videos before bidding. You are looking at a 1923 T Bucket Roadster. This was built in the 1970s by the previous owner and stored on jack stands until we purchased the vehicle from him. It has an incredible 1122 miles since it was completed nearly 45 years ago. Below is a video collection of this old school hot rod: (1923 Ford T Bucket Roadster Hotrod - YouTube) Video will open in a new window [isdntekvideo] (1923 Ford T Bueket Roadster Hotrod - YouTube) Video will open in a new window [isdntekvideo] Please scroll down and enjoy the 200+ photos. This T Bucket was fabricated in the 1970s and features a Corvette 327 engine that was professionally built with solid lifters, Muncie M20 or M21 transmission, and a 1957 Chevrolet rear end. It has a fiberglass body and plywood floor as you can see. This was stored for a long time on jack stands in the garage of the person that built this years ago when we acquired the vehicle. We placed oil down the cylinders and manually turned the engine by hand, replaced the spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel lines, fuel filter and cleaned out the gas tank as well as gave the vehicle a wash and changed the oil and filter and checked the fluid levels. We also sent the carburetor out and had it professionally rebuilt to withstand today's fuel. The rebuilder was an expert and he also set the timing, dwell and other settings on the motor last week. He suggested it should have a valve adjustment as two seemed a bit tight. We will let this for the next owner. We ordered a new gas tank as it is probably the weakest link with some corrosion in the tank. We will include the new tank and set belts which are also ordered but never installed when this was built years ago. We did not do a compression test and have no further information on the condition of the engine. We also ordered a new thermostat gasket as it appears to be leaking a but at the thermostat housing. It is dry under the vehicle as well. This vehicle runs great and turns heads everywhere we have taken it which is about a total of two miles. However, this vehicle is for show purposes only as this was not built years ago with safety in mind. They are unsafe at any speed with no safety features and lots of power. The bill of sale will reflect this. In addition, the braking is limited, the tires are old and the tires on the front appear to be motorcycle. Given the condition of the interior, engine, transmission and body, it is hard to find anything cleaner than this. We were impressed with how well the engine starts and runs, and how well it shifts and drives. The paint is outstanding as well as the interior and top. We have a few extra buttons to replace one that has popped off the upholstery and one clip for the top has ripped slightly but this doesn't take away from the overall great physical condition of the vehicle. We also do not believe there is anything left that is original to a 1923 T Bucket on the car. It is titled as a 1923 Ford Convertible, but unsure how or where the VIN was obtained years ago. The title is clear and in my name and did have hobbyist plates when we acquired the vehicle. If you are looking for a new car, no squeaks or rattles, or the reliability and comfort of a Toyota Camry, this car is not for you. They are an extremely basic vehicle, with marginal to unsafe engine power, brakes and steering by today's standards, and no protection. We ask that bidders know what they are buying. Additional auction information: Any of these should be trailered to their destination until the vehicle is checked over for safety. We are also requiring a bill of sale be signed by the new owner stating this vehicle is being purchased as-is.
