1988 Ford Country Squire LX Station Wagon Description

1988 Ford Country Squire LX Station Wagon. Lived most all of its life on a carport so it is in over all good cosmetic condition. Beautiful red velour interior. There is some sun fade to the driver side seat backs. The dash is not cracked. The place where the passenger side dash speaker is located does have some cracking but is still intact. Car has 140K miles on it. The car runs and drives but will need a new transmission I am told. You can hear a spinning sound under the hood as the car shifts into overdrive. The cars transmission was replaced at 80k'ish by Aamco. The speedometer has started to tick as you drive. The rear passenger side window needs a motor. The tailgate window moves at a snails pace and you usually have to help it up the last inch. The tailgate only opens like a door. It will not open like a truck tailgate and fold down. Only light surfacerust in two spots on driver side door sill and hinge (See pics). Interior is in superb condition. Has rear facing seats. Air conditioner does not blow cold. There is a hole in the exhaust; you can hear it as you drive. There is a crack in the header panel and some paint wear on the plastic along the front bumper. The drivers side rear has a dent where someone backed into it in a parking lot in the 90's. The woodgrain on the drivers side is fading. It got kicked off the carport in 2010. However; there are lots of dressings that I use that turn the vinyldark again.. but you have to keep up with it to make it stay looking nice. Passenger side woodgrain only has a tad bit of fading. Contact me for a video of the car driving. Please note the LTD hood ornament has been taken off and replaced with the original Crown Victoria hood ornament. The car is located in Richmond, Virginia. You can pick it up there or I can drive it to the shipper and drop it off for you. There is a shipping terminal for cars in Ashland, Va which is close by that I have dropped off and picked up cars at before myself. Ask all the questions you like.
