1968 Ford Galaxie Description

I am selling my 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 sedan which is all original.
This car has the 390ci (6.4L) FE V8 with the 2 barrel carburetor, 3 speed automatic C6 transmission, and Ford 9" rear differential.
This car is in very good condition with only minor cosmetic damage and extremely minimal body damage. Cosmetic damage is due mainly to the age of the car and includes a crack in the vinyl dash, small cracks in the steering wheel, and minor paint damage. Body damage is mainly limited to the right rear quarter panel which has a slight ripple in it, but is barely noticeable as you can see in the pictures. The rest of the interior is in very good condition with only minor sun fade on the rear dash.
I am the second owner of this car, the original owner bought it new from the floor back in 1968 and I bought it from him in 2011.
Options on this car include the original from the factory front disk brakes, 3-point seat belts for the front passengers, and automatic choke for those cold starts.
This car is in excellent running condition and I have never had a problem during my entire ownership of this car. It truly is a highway cruiser as it gobbled up the miles from my regular drives from Minneapolis to Green Bay without any hassle ever and is truly at its happiest cruising along at 80mph on the interstate.
The only work that has been done is preventative maintenance and reliability modifications which include:
  • New Weatherstripping
  • New U-Joints
  • New Brake Booster
  • New Alternator
  • New Iridium Plugs
  • New Fuel Lines
  • New Electronic Ignition
  • Upgraded Carburetor Jets
  • Upgraded Instrument Panel (Temp, Voltmeter, Oil PSI)
This car has never seen a winter in its entire life and has always been stored in a heated garage. Every year the original owner would take drain oil and coat the underside of the car which lead to a rust free and very solid underbelly as can be seen in the pictures.
Car also has the original spare, original owners manual, and original bumper jack.
I'd also be open to a trade for a 2016 or newer Harley XL1200X.
Thank you for your time and if you have any questions please feel free to drop me a line.
