1964 Ford Falcon Futura Description

This 1964 Ford Falcon Futura is the ideal mix of cool '60s style with a healthy dose of extra V8 muscle appeal. Best of all, this hardtop is being offered for a very nice price. The market for Falcons is heating up. They are that perfect machine to combine vintage style, a lightweight body, and a setup that's ready-made for V8 power â€" and this one takes all those elements and turns it up a notch. The factory-correct... Phoenician Yellow is a great '60s-style color, and the large chrome bumpers and delicate details (including hood ornament) give this a true classic cruiser vibe. And the way the doors close with authority and the panels line up nicely are a nice indication of a well-respected life. But more than just vintage, the cool hardtop profile and Futura-specific arrow-like side trim add a sporty appeal. The large dual exhaust tips and upgrade to competition-style American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are instant indicators of a little extra muscle within this coupe. The upgrade to a black interior offers more of this muscle car appeal. There are great vintage touches, like the stylish Falcon steering wheel, AM radio that's still on display, classic trunk mat, and the golden glow of the dash and door tops. These combine with nice driver-oriented upgrades, like the front bucket seats and the B&M floor shifter. So it's the kind of car you'll want to roll down all the windows and go for a pillarless hardtop cruise. This was an early '64 car, and so it wasn't eligible for the new 289 cubic-inch V8 from the factory. But now this one has been upgrade to have proper top-dog blue oval power. And they didn't just stop there. The V8 inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and Weiand intake. It fires up nicely and makes a sweet sound from the newer glasspack-style dual exhaust. It even has nice upgraded supporting components like the dual master cylinder and an aluminum radiator. Plus, with a three-speed automatic transmission, modern wide tires, and front disc brakes, this is a fine all-around cruiser. Here's a cool classic that adds extra power to the package. So at an obtainable price like this, you know it's going to be out on the streets again soon. Call today!!!
