1978 Ford E-Series Van Description
Good running, reliable all around work, daily driver, multi use 3/4 ton van. Body is solid and straight, no major accidents ever. Very rare to find in these vans is a Mazda M5OD 5-speed manual overdrive transmission installed 2 years ago in excellent condition, a new flywheel, clutch, hydraulic slave cylinder, and master clutch cylinder went in with it, dual piston front calipers with recent new brake pads, new front wheel bearings and seals, Dana-Spicer full floating rear axle (3.73), sliding side door, rear windows with limo tint, Pioneer 50 watts per channel 4 speaker system, new radiator (1 year ago), new windshield (2 years), new starter (2 years), Duraspark distributor and ignition have been replaced, high output 65 amp alternator has been replaced.
BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A 16" radials load range E with lots of tread (1 tire very new), 16" white steel spoke wheels, all accessories, lights, gauges work. Additional after market gauges added. High ground clearance. This vehicle has been in Oregon and Nevada it's entire life and has a solid frame, body, and undercarriage to show for it.
Electric fuel pump with engine safety sensor. Dual exhausts, two new mufflers and one new catalytic (has 2 catalytics). Battery new (5-4-19). Many other parts replaced too numerous to mention in this posting. Engine is carbureted and not original.
Well maintained vehicle by the almost original owner/mechanic for 30 years. Many extra parts included: various seals, gaskets, carb kit, instrument cluster, rear wheel hub socket, 2 spare tires on wheels holding air (one on a matching steel spoke wheel), spare stock 1978 front grill, lower front grill trim and pan, (2) rear glass windows, etc,lots more.High power exterior dual LED backup light bars under the rear bumper along with the stock backup lights, rear crank type roof vent. Some scratches inside and out. Paneling and insulation on the interior, most of the paneling is "ok", some areas have gotten some pretty good wear and scratches. Cowl vent leak, top of dash has sun cracks. There is an interior rug, padding and plywood on the floor, but rug has some stains and indentations. A few small dings and dents, some slight surface rust only in a few areas. Updated newer bucket seats with headrests (driver side installed only), one passenger seat behind driver, heater works well, no A/C (never had factory A/C). Very sound, solid, and strong running. 30 year known mechanical history and maintenance on this vehicle. (for Oregon buyers: passed DEQ, Oregon tags good till January of 2020. Clean Oregon title).
