This is a prime car for a stock restoration and one of only 956 Jalapena red SVOs built. I purchased thisone for myself but no longer have the time and don’t really need more than the 3 SVOs I already have. I bought it with the interior in pieces and far from safe to drive. During my tenure I replaced the rack and pinion, brake booster, master cylinder, sail panels, tail lights, brake calipers, upper spoiler and added a slew of other SVO specific parts that were missing.

This car is rust free with the exception of the usual at the bottom of the hatch which is light enough that it is repairable. NO rust on the doors, a pillars or undercarriage at all. It has all of the hard to find parts but the shifter knob and is still stock down to the factory premium sound radio which works. 125K miles, engine runs great and transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. Brakes and tires are pretty much brand new. I put a lot of effort into making sure everything on the car works as it should, she really needs to be driven now. I wont be registering it now so it better move on to someone that will.

Seats have the usual bit of wear on the drivers bolsters but are in excellent condition otherwise, no leans or breaks. Console is complete with SVO switches. The headlights are all present and clear. Dash has a carpet cover but the original pad is pretty clean, no cracks or burns in any of the plastic parts. Car was converted to 134a but I did not pursue whether or not the system will hold, all the parts are there and functional. Floor pan i beautiful. I did weld up a two inch long crack at the corner of the drivers rocker under the seat.

Paint is cracking and peeling in many places, it was redone at some point many years ago and you can see the primer underneath. It has some surface rust in the bare pots but nothing of concern. Front cover has two damaged spots but is very repairable, I actually had another one I was going to put on it but this one is still nicer. I did have the sail panels off and there is no rust underneath them. The car as a whole is a little body work and paint away from being really nice. I am certain these are all the original body panels.
