1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT Lifted Upgraded 460 Arizona Truck Great Patina
1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT Description
Listing a very cool old 79 Bronco that purchased from the owner of the last 30 years. This truck has been off the road for about 15 years. The body of this truck has aged very cool as we buffed it out to see how the paint has held up and it has left a very cool worn patina look. The body overall is very great Arizona truck, has typical little rust along the bottom edge of tailgate and the bottom inside edge of passenger door has some bubbling. Other than that 99% rust free very solid truck, have many pictures of under side showing the floor boards don’t have rot through. Can text those over if need be. Normal dents and chips. Passenger fender has noticeable dent. The interior of the truck is very complete, needs the cloth portion of the seats redone or some nice covers. Odometer shows 36k I would guess it’s rolled over once. Its equipped with a roll cage, for when you go topless. Has the wood grain xlt package inside, carpet and rear interior panels. The rear window motor does work, we got it rolled down by hot wiring it, the switch may have gone bad. The truck has a suspension lift kit on it. Guessing 2-4” lift, as it clears 33” Bf Goodrich tire on Alloy rims easily. Is equipped with the spare tire carrier on rear that swings out. As far as the mechanics of the truck we did get it up and running again. Put a different working Holley carb on it, a new water pump, AC delco battery and can run it with electric fuel pump and small gas can. Drove it down my love streets up to 40 mph to make sure the transmission shifted and brakes worked. Locked it in 4 Hi and 4 Lo to check differential and transfer case and worked. I was told recently before it had been parked 15 years ago that the transmission and differentials had been gone through, there was no receipts to go with the story, but after testing them out in the dirt, they work properly. The immediate things to make truck driveable from my point of view is it needs a new gas tank or get old one cleaned out. The electric fuel pump that was on it works great. Also the radiator will need reconditioned or replaced it is leaking. The engine oil was just changed so we could test drive it. Runs pretty smooth for a big block 460 v8. Obviously it’s been off the road some years so be smart to just have a mechanic check it over and replace these few items and you could be driving as is or if desire would be a great candidate for a frame off restoration. That’s originally why we purchased, to do a frame off. But to many other priorities right now. Would rather see the truck go to a good home and be enjoyed. There is a handful of extra parts that came with the truck sitting in the rear floor area that go with it.Truck comes with a Clean Arizona title notarized and ready to transfer.Message or call for more info or pics. These 79 broncos are becoming extremely popular due to the first gen bronco getting next to impossible to find. This is very solid truck to have being close to 100% complete, and few things being replaced. So a little TLC and personal touches and you will make this black stallion your own 4x4 machine. Cruise to church or car show or use at the cabin or lake. Has a hitch in back so you could pull a boat even!
