1970 Ford Bronco Description

I've decided to sell my absolutely beautiful 1970 Ford Bronco and let someone else enjoy a restored, uncut, and daily-drivable classic. I've owned the Bronco for over six years and have completed all the projects that I set out to do and have moved on to a new project car. I have completely babied the Bronco, never taken it off road, and I'm hoping to sell to someone who will truly appreciate and take care of the truck in the future.

I purchased the Bronco from someone that had just completed a gorgeous frame-on restoration, but the truck needed some mechanical attention. Since then, I've made multiple, major upgrades to make the Bronco something you'd feel comfortable driving anywhere, anytime. Most notably were a fuel injection engine swap by Tumblin Automotive, new NV3550 5-speed transmission, four wheel disc brakes, power steering, and A/C.

Less than 700 miles have been put on the Bronco since the engine swap and simply don't get to enjoy it as much as I'd like with my work schedule. Rather than let it continue to set in my garage, I've decided sell. Although the truck is in excellent shape for its age, there are a few very minor things that I'll outline after the various upgrades that have been made. My aim is to be as fully transparent as possible, and feel free to reach out with any questions you might have.

High-level summary of upgrades made:

  • 1992 Ford Mustang 5.0 fuel injection swap (performed by Bronco fuel injection swap expert, Van Tumblin). The engine was overhauled by his team previously, and I'm not sure how many miles are on the rebuilt engine. The odometer was reset with the swap and now has ~650 miles on it)

  • New NV3550 transmission

  • New clutch

  • New front/rear disc brake conversion with power booster

  • New Vintage Air A/C unit with heat

  • New stainless shorty headers

  • New oversized exhaust and muffler

  • Rebuilt power steering

  • New 31x10.5" MasterCraft Courser MXT tires

  • New custom painted wheels

  • New 21 gallon gas tank (custom tank by Tumblin Automotive)

  • New H4 headlights with heavy-duty wiring harness

  • New Corbeau racing seats

  • New interior carpet and sound deadener (floor and hard top)

  • Refurbished instrument cluster

  • New steering wheel

Issues to be aware of:

  • fuel sending unit doesn't match perfectly with gas tank (gas gauge reads lower than what's actually in tank)

  • there are a few, minor paint chips (see pictures)

  • new door seals mean you need to firmly shut doors to close

Also, I have a ton of supporting paperwork on the upgrades made, original window sticker, previous bills of sale, etc. that come with the vehicle.

Again, this is a beautiful Bronco that turns heads every time I take it out. That being said, it is almost 50 years old but in excellent shape and is being sold as-is. I fully welcome you to come check out in-person and/or hire a 3rd party mechanic to inspect.
