Offered for sale here is this fantastic 1950 Ford Deluxe Business Coupe! Not the more common 2dr Sedan, this is the far more rare Business Coupe body. This one was sold new here in Lubbock, TX, was later purchased by a gentleman in Amarillo, TX and lived there the rest if it's life until I bought it about 7 yrs ago and moved it back 95 miles south to Lubbock, TX. Absolutely bone-dry car it's whole life!
Car was repainted in a variation of the original Ford Red color. It's a very high quality single-stage paint that was just recently polished to the highest luster! The car also has been professionally pinstriped throughout by "107 Pinstriping" here in Lubbock. The car was never fully restored, but you'd believe that it was based on how it looks!
Engine is the stock bottom end, but I recently decided to hop it up with period speed parts! Offenhauser Aluminum Heads, Dual Carb Intake, Custom Headers, etc... were all added about 3yrs ago and really helped the performance! Carburetors are Speedway Motor's 9Super7's and they ran great right out of the box! I also installed an Aluminum Radiator to help with these Flathead's infamous cooling difficulties. It now stays nice and even all the time. Car has that classic 50's exhaust note, and with the 3spd column shift transmission, is like a time machine to a purer, simpler time!
Car has been lowered with Fat Man Fabrication Drop Spindles in front, and drop blocks in the rear. All suspension components were rebuilt or replaced at that time and the car has been fully aligned since then. Drives down the road arrow-straight!
Interior was redone in the early 2000's and is a very nice Black Vinyl with Houndstooth inserts and door panels. Not a perfect interior, but looks great at shows and is VERY comfortable! Dash is fully pinstriped to match the rest of the car, and the trunk is fully carpeted to match the cabin.
Car is as solid as they come! Body is in great shape, and this paint would surely show any botched repairs or rust. It's a stunning car to behold in person, and I've very rarely seen a 1949-51 Ford that is this straight!
Overall, this car is ready for any car show! Runs and drives perfectly, no issues. It's arguably almost too nice to drive daily, and that's a good thing! I simply have too many other cars and projects that force me to part with this one. It's been a great car, and has been a lot of fun to work on and drive! Email me with any questions and I'll do my best to help you out!
Car is located in Lubbock, TX and is available for inspection or appraisal at anytime. Email me to set up a time/date.
