1966 Ford Mustang Coupe Description

1966 Ford Mustang - Nice driver quality

Appears to be the original 289 w/4 bbl. carb and automatic transmission. Working A/C. The car is in very good shape overall, and is a great color. The interior upholstery, headliner, carpet has been updated in recent years and is very nice. The paint is driver quality. I'd say a 7 out of 10, but it probably looks more like 8 or 9 in the photos. The prep work before paint doesn't appear to have been perfect, but the car really looks nice unless you're looking for flaws. Tires are great. The car stars easily, stops as it should, and handles like a 66 Mustang. All lights and gauges work.

Please view the photos and review my details below and make your decision about bidding. Remember, this car is over 50 years old, so it isn't perfect. I do not have any history before my purchase, as I bought it at auction. Clear, blue Texas title in my name. Please arrange to inspect the car, or have an independent inspection, as you will buy the car AS-IS with no written or implied warranty or guarantee. See purchase details below. Thank you and happy bidding!

I've had the car about a year and here's what I've done:

Rebuilt front end as necessary

Check and adjust brakes

Repaired lights, horn, etc. as necessary to pass TX inspection

Rebuilt rear-end as necessary

Motor mounts/transmission mount

Plugs, wires, etc. for tune-up

Converted A/C and replaced hose

Here's what I'd do next if I were keeping it:

Rebuild the carb. It runs well, but at times there is hesitation.

New muffler

Radio - dead

Passenger door handle needs adjusting - hard to open at times

You'll pay a $1000.00 deposit via PayPal at the end of the auction. Balance due within 72 hours. I will accept cash in person or bank wire transfer. Other payment options must be approved in advance. The car and title will not leave my possession until all funds are complete.

I will make the car available for your transport company to pick up, but otherwise cannot assist with shipping options.

If your eBay rating is less than 10, do NOT bid without contacting me first. I will delete your bid if you cannot satisfactorily verify your ability to complete the transaction. The reserve, I believe, is modest. The car is NOT for sale outside eBay, so please do not ask. This also means you can bid with confidence. I will NOT end the auction early for any reason. If the reserve is met, and you're the high bidder, you will own the car. Good luck!
