1929 Ford Model A Description

This was a barn find on a farm at Bean Station Tennessee in 1985. The then owner eventually gave it to his son who restored it (or had it restored) in 2004/5. The engine was sent to Knowville TN for a professional rebuild. (I do not know what all was done but it runs smooth so I must of been balanced). This Jimmy Taylor of Blaine TN then sold it to Gilbert (Rex) Rexrode of Kingsport TN in 2008/9. Hejust drove it in a few parades and took it to shows, winning awards for it. I believe Rex did quite a bit of work on it as well.Ibought it from Rex in 2015, flying down toBradington Floridawhere he then lived. I drove it to Stuart FL and Fayne Jones, his helper, and myself checked it all out and did some tuneup, brake, and front alignment repairs. I then drove it to Key West Florida to thefathers point on the island I could reach then past the most southern point in the USAand to my home in Libby Montana. That took 2 weeks with a bit of a meandering route. The next summer I drove it from my home in Libby MT to Prudhoe Bay Alaska to thefarthest most northern point in the USA that I was allowed to drive to, the security gate at the northern edge of Prudhoe Bay, about 7 road miles from the Arctic Ocean. Since 9/11 they have not allowedcivilian travel on those oilfield roads, and I was not able to get special permission. I then drove back home to montana viathe Alcan route. (I used the Cassiar route going up with a detour to Hyder Alaska). Believe it or not I did not have even asingle flat tire the whole trip. I did have quite a lot of electrical problems (last summer I replaced ALL the old original wiring with new wiring harnesses, with the exception of the tail lights which had been done before andwhere in great shape). I had to do a bit of tuning up the distributor a few times, but other than that had no problems. I did constantmaintenance of lubing, oil changes, greasing bearings etc etc. as perrecommendations. And did a break job before I left for Alaska. I won best of my class at our 450 car car show in 2017 Libby Ignite the nites. Anyway I told you all of this for a history as I know it of the vehicle and myexperience with it, driving it 10,000 miles myself. I would, without hesitation, drive it another 10,000 miles. I am totally confident in its mechanicalcondition and abilities. It "cruised" at 45 to 50 and could get up to 60 if on the level with no head wind. But would slow way down on a grade. The Dalton "highway" has grades 18 to 20% and I had no problems except for having to gear down and put put up the hill at 15 to 20 mph. A #3 restoration as I have read looks great 20 feet away but has numerous flaws upon close inspection. This was not a show car professional restoration as I have said and as such has body and paint flaws, but it shines up real pretty and turns every head, wowing everyone who looks at it. It is an all metal body, I believe all original body, spare tire on drivers side, lots of chrome. Nice enough to win shows yet wonderfulenough to take onroad trips. I have 3 excellent tires and 4 worn but still usable tires. Everything works great except the trip meter. The Roadster pickups do not have side windows. Side curtains can be added if you want to add the snaps. You will just have to ask what ever questions you have through ebays contact the seller system. Thanks for yourinterest. Owe I almost forgot. I am selling because I want something even older. I would like to get a "high wheeler" like a 1905-14 International auto wagon or international model A or the like.
