63 fastback Galaxie WAS a 289 V8 3 speed standard manual column shift car, but both engine and transmission have been removed and for some reason it has had a shifter put in the floor.
I pulled up the carpet and the floors are solid, with a bit of surface rust in spots.
The outside has bumps and scrapes but is mainly straight. The gas tank and floor under the back seat have dents in them from what looks like a muffler letting go, but the rest of the underside is good and both bumpers are straight. The doors are really solid with none of the usual bubbles anywhere.
The seat frames are good but all the soft stuff needs replacing. Headlining is shot but all the bars are there.
It has 15"steel wheels and the manual steering works so it rolls easily, but no brakes connected
All the doors and windows work well, except the drivers window has had the regulator runner drop off the window frame, causing the window to sit crooked.
Please check the pictures carefully, the car has been in the elements for years so the paint has a wonderful patina, but what is in the pictures is what you get.
I really want to restore this car but have run out of room.
This is a no reserve auction, the car must be picked up within a week of the end of the auction. Cash on pick up is fine.
Thanks for looking.
