YOU WANNA CLOSE OUT THE SUMMER WITH A TOY THAT MAKES YOU LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT?
WELL IF YOU DO CONSIDER THIS 3XBLACK VINTAGE FORD MUSTANG RAG TOP!
THE PONY CAR THAT YOU SEE LISTED HERE IS A TWO OWNER VEHICLE.
IT HAS BEEN CHERISHED SINCE DAY ONE! THERE’S NEVER A DULL MOMENT WHEN SHE LEAVES THE GARAGE! CELL PHONE CAMERAS ARE CONSTANTLY SNAPPING & YOU CAN EXPECT TO SEE THUMBS UP!
1969 has always been my favorite year for assembly of the Mustang. There was a litany of exciting models that debuted including the Grande & Mach cars. That being said the convertible really hit the nail on the head for those who desire to go topless!
Rarity also makes it highly sought after and collectable among enthusiasts.
There were over 72,400 Mach 1 & fastbacks cars produced in 1969 & over 122,000 coupes assembled. Respectfully there was only 11,400 convertibles assembled (almost one third of those being 6 cylinder models)! The MCA dogmatically stated earlier this year that the 1969 Mustang Convertible V/8 will continue to skyrocket in value for such reasons.
Please take time to enjoy the pictures & videos of this quality collector car.
The SERIOUS BUYER is encouraged to call
(314) 649-8227 to find out how to acquire it before the next guy does! It will be listed on other websites & for sale locally “DON’T MISS OUT”! If a deal can be struck the auction will cease. I HAVE NO TIME FOR GAMES “SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY PLEASE & THANK YOU!
Many things can be said about the pony car that you see pictured here. It is a super sharp 2 owner vehicle that has spent its entire life in the heart of the Mid West! The original owner actually held on to it until the mid eighties.
However after approximately sixteen years of enjoyment he relinquished ownership. When it was placed in the local township paper for sale a local Aeronautical engineer scooped it up.
What we know is that he enjoyed the car immensely until his career forced him to park it (in 2002). When time permitted he picked up where he left off but shortly thereafter began a full blown restoration.
Although I have been called a harsh critic when judging vintage vehicles I don’t have a problem labeling this one as being nice.
Since this 69 model lived a sheltered life all of the cars body lines are very uniform.
All gaps seem to be in step with factory tooling specifications.
There is little doubt that the body was stripped and media blasted before being covered in enamel.
The fit and finish is very respectable so it’s easy admire the vehicles overall appearance. You’ll have no problem holding your head high at the local car cruise!
Many attributes make it a fan favorite. The Raven Black exterior maintains a high gloss shine and mirror finish! The body is smooth to the touch and free from various imperfections. Flame Red GT side stripes really shakes up the appearance package and provides perfect contrast!
This model has been christened with a factory Ford hood scoop and perfect set of sport mirrors!
Shelby side scoops truly help to provide a custom look and garners praise from modern Mustang drivers!
Chrome accents are sprinkled throughout which provide just the right touch! New N.O.S side emblems can be easily detected along with a new running grille stallion. This Mustang also sports all new grille moldings and fuel cap.
The front & rear bumpers have been replaced with Ford sanctioned components.
Everyone absolutely LOVES this vintage 69!
The total picture is simply breath taking and compliments can be expected at every corner!
Here are a few close up shots:
What could be better than lowering the top on a classic Mustang …?
This black beauty was treated to a new TMI top recently and it still looks incredible! No expense was spared when this operation took place all new hydraulic lines were also installed!
The convertible top pump was serviced along with the fluid that keeps it functioning properly.
Many individuals tend to neglect this very important process but failure to do so can cause immense & expensive problems later.
No worries here “all the hard work has been done for you”! The top lowers in an instant and works wonderfully!
She is really buttoned up nicely “commendable quality investment”!

Upon opening the door of this rag top you will find a stark black interior! Although it can be considered pedestrian in nature the subtle surroundings fit the vehicle perfectly!
The ebony seat upholstery (including rear) has been replaced and really works well with the cockpit.
The A/C equipped dash pad and center section blends in nice with the remaining portions. The steering wheel is show quality along with the center emblem.
A working radio jumps into action upon command and so does the factory wipers.
To further enhance the interior is a beautiful loop pile carpet & running pony floor mats!
New standard door panels have been installed along with & replacement emblems.
All and all the interior compliments the exterior nicely!
NOW NO MUSTANG CAN BE TRULY CONSIDERED A FREE RUNNING STALLION WITHOUT HAVING A FACTORY V/8!
Thankfully Ford didn’t buck the trend when this one was assembled. The factory F-Code 302 can still be found underneath the hood.
This block still was showing close to 82,000 miles when it came to rest before being restored. Since the owner wanted to make sure the car would be dependable enough for family outings he had it rebuilt also (only 82k original miles)!
Horsepower ratings went up a bit thanks to new cam & lifters. However everything else seems to have been replaced to stock manufacturer ratings.
She certainly has more pep than the average factory small block which makes it much more exciting to drive!
An original cast iron intake still sits atop the block and FOMOCO carburetor distributes the fuel.
Dependability is a cinch thanks in part to new plugs, 8mm wires & voltage regulator.
The belts have been replaced along with both radiator hoses. An upgraded starter takes the place of the original one.
To top things off the radiator, water pump, high volume oil pump & thermostat was also replaced.
Many more other new parts were installed to keep it reliable (vacuum advance, cap, rotor, alternator, battery, etc.
A set of factory valve covers & air cleaner further enhances the engine bay.
Hardened valves seats have been installed so the vehicle can burn modern unleaded fuel efficiently “an important aspect that many fail to do”! No short cuts were taken.
The power steering equipment and suspension has all recently received a clean bill of health from a local restoration shop (references upon request).
An infectious growl trumpets out back by the aid of dual exhaust!
This car is simply thrilling to drive & it sounds incredible when the throttle is engaged!
