1967 Ford Mustang Description
This is a real 67 GT Acapulco Blue 4 Speed Fastback currently powered by a vintage 427 SideOiler. Cash only- no checks, no trades,etc.
The car is all about nice vintage Ford original big block parts- not some collection of cheap repro aftermarket/catalogue parts. For someone who can appreciate the time and effort it took to bring this car to this current condition.
This A code is a GT and was stored for 26 years before my purchase .Marti report included. Has been preserved with NOS and mostly excellent original parts. The paint is near 40 yrs old "patina" finish and is in fair condition as one would expect for being that old.... Straight original sheetmetal.
Starts up instantly, runs great. Engine is fresh with a few hours of run time.
4 speed toploader w/ real 70 Boss 302 factory Hurst shifter, Deluxe interior. 8K Tach/ Trip. Tilt/ Tilt away, Power disc brakes, 9 Inch 3.25 posi, A/C (underhood parts removed), Upper and lower consoles, Fold down rear seats, original Exterior decor original Aluminum tail panels, Vintage Goodyear Eagle ST tires.
Drivetrain:
Engine: Vintage 427 Side Oiler factory hydraulic block Std bore block. Pristine unmolested block found in a barn in Kansas packed away in cosmoline/grease for 25 yrs. All original std bore Block with NO sleeves. Cleaned up and taken to .020 over. This block can be run either as a solid or a hydraulic cam. This is a 71-72 block - (Not a commercial/industrial with extra ribs cast in the side)
Forged steel Factory C5 $ marked crank turned 10/10
C6AE-R heads stock rebuild,KB Pistons 9.8 comp on pump gas.
Comp cams hydraulic 268 cam, Smith Bros. pushrods, crane fast bleed lifters
factory c3 split steel 427 stands and billet spacers
Cometic head gaskets.
Factory aluminum 62 406 intake. Original 427 Air Cleaner Lid and original Air Filter
Air cleaner base is new for the single quad. Original 427 Fuel Canister, original fuel lines,
original replated 2x4 Fuel log
Original 427 Baldy Valve Covers with the original 427 transistor decals. Original yellow
top coil.
Original 65 Distributor. Original BB GT exhaust manifolds
original cj big block oil pan
original Shelby Holley 715cfm
Ford SSP water cooled oil cooler at the oil boss- all plumbed in the cooling system with
an aluminum aux cooler hidden under the rear of the oil pan.
Radiator:
New 3 core HD radiator
Trans crossmember:
Factory big block crossmember stamped std390
Transmission:
Big Block 67 RUG M Toploader with 11" centerforce clutch- shifts very smooth.
Big block cobra jet DZ bell housing with factory clutch linkage.
Shifter:
Real factory 70 Hurst shifter and real vintage Hurst shift knob from a 70 Boss 302.
Shifts nice and tight- no slop.
Rear:
Factory Ford 9" 3.25 Trak Lok posi. All rebuilt

seats, dash trim, door panel trims,all brushed aluminum trim,
beautiful original near NOS Pass side door panel, GT deluxe dash 140 MPH speedo

Original 4 speed console
( deluxe seat backs and original 8 track radio were removed
and seats recovered by prev owner in the early 80's)
Factory AM radio- not hooked to speakers.
New- carpet, dash pad, Driver side door panel

The original rear bumper has been rechromed.

Previous owner notes-
Fender bender in late 70's to left front nose area - repaired with new factory Ford parts in late 70's- put a dent in L front rail support under floor pan and hit lower edge of bottom radiator support - piece of original bottom core support included.
Leaking battery in early 80's caused apron damage under Battery- repaired with a partial piece of apron and new battery tray.
Floors- original floor pans with most of the original undercoating
Frame rails and drop offs - all original good and solid
Trunk:
Factory: Trunk light, all trap door components, jack and handle, spare rim
New: Trunk Burtex mat
Tires:
Excellent vintage Goodyear Eagle ST Tires-
225 70 R15 Rears on custom GT Rims / original caps
215 70R14 Fronts on factory GT Rims / original caps
Original ford blue floor mats. Dash gauges work except clock, cigarette lighter works, AM radio powers on light works, but is not hooked to any speakers- no speakers in the door. Manual steering turns nice- has rebuilt steering linkage. Original Power disc brakes work fine- original rotors turned and new pads. Personal license plate not included.
