I have had a fewquestions on the engine.I know it is not the original engine since it does not have the freeze plugs on the front of the heads like a 55 292 should have. I am assuming it is a 312 but we all know how that saying goes. It has Ecz-g heads, it has the larger exhaust manifolds, and it has a crankcase breather cover on the drivers side of the engine not cast in like the later 292s. I put fresh fuel and a battery in the car and it starts and runs with no strange sounds but the carburetor could use a going thru and the coolant hoses need to be replaced as they started leaking as it built pressure. The ignition system is working but the wires look old andI would replace. The carburetor is a later model Autolite 4100. I don't know what direction the new owner would like to go with the car so I am forgoing any more repairs. It has a tach drive distributor in it that works. My personal cell phone number is in the Ad and please feel free to call me and ask as manyquestions as youwould like.
On Sep-28-19 at 13:02:03 PDT, seller added the following information:Had some questions about when it was last driven.I don't know when the last time it was on the road. The car has a 2014 registration sticker on it. The registration is current but new tags haven't been put on since 2014. The fuel tank was bought in May 2005 from Casco I don't know when it was installed. I have a receipts for parts and service for the car since 70s. The car was painted in April 1992 to the tune of 5610$ for whatever that's worth. I have photos of the car before it was painted.
I washed the car, put fresh fuel in the car. New battery and rear brake hose. The car will start idle and will LOT drive. It is not ready for highway use.
