1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe Description

1932 Ford 3 Window Coupe

Peppermint (Mentha Piperita, also known as Mentha Balsamea Wild) is a hybrid mint, a cross between watermint and spearmint. Indigenous to Europe and the Middle East, the plant is now widely spread and cultivated in many regions of the world. It is occasionally found in the wild with its parent species. Smith Kendon developed Altoids in 1780 to relieve intestinal discomfort, and Life Savers introduced its Pep-O-Mint flavor in 1912. In 1927, Eduard Haas, of Vienna, Austria, invented peppermint Pez candy and the original dispenser.

For consignment just a bit of eye candy in the form of a '32 3-Window Ford. It has under its belt multiple award wins and is a star in the eyes of our consigner as it has been featured in numerous magazines. A custom build with all the right stuff, no expense spared, and definitely sweet to look at.

Exterior
A dropped Super Bell axle upfront that has the frame pinched to 21 inches, and open engine bay that backs up to a chopped roof, this car has been dipped in red paint, then has had white hot stylized flame arrows added being blown rearward on the sides and roof. A red radiator cover and grille floats by itself in front of the engine, with look ma no hood! behind it. Chromed suspension, large headlights with checkered flag lower "lids", and red...red paint and the presentation is totally sugar coated for the eyes. Fender-less wide whites wrap chromed spinner style wheel covers up front, and black steel wide wheels on the rear. Classic hot rod design with some spice added fer sure.

Interior
Classic white tuck and roll vinyl with red diamonds and white crowns pepper the entire bench and trunk areas all finished out and you'd think it's Christmas! White tuck and roll surfaces on the door panels and surrounding seat tub and even the floor with just an island of red carpet near the Lokar gearshift. A red steering wheel complete with lower peppermint candy cane striping fronts a simple red dash with white faced gauges in a circle machined pattern aluminum oval. A pristine snow-white headliner hangs tightly above all this candy cane menagerie. Did I see a barbershop somewhere?!

Drivetrain
On full display here all the time so the 350ci crate engine in V8 form is sugar coated with a Holley 650 Double Pumper carburetor that offers up 4 barrels of throat. This sports a Vertex magneto, Walker radiator, traditional finned valve covers, and white hot Sanderson ceramic coated headers to open pipes for expelling spent gasses (full exhaust will come with the car). Noted, this engine has only 100 miles of break in and still has its 24-month warranty. Hook on a 350 transmission with a shift kit and the Lokar shifter and throw all these sugary horses back to a Currie 9-inch rear, and we have a hot rod in classic form.

Undercarriage
As with any custom build the peppermint theme carries on underneath with beautiful clean chromed Pete and Jakes stage 3 frame, red floorboards, drive shaft and suspension. Disc brakes on the REAR, and chromed Buick drums upfront, all power, bring this baby top a quick stop.

Drive-Ability
Interesting ride sitting on the floor, however amazingly comfortable this sweet gal lit right up, and ran like a champ. Not a cushy large car ride, but then it's not a cushy large car. Plenty of acceleration, and plenty of stopping power turned many heads on my test drive. As I said eye candy.

Peppermint can be just a bit spicy just like this hot rod in classic form. All buttoned up, with every detail taken care of. Head down to Classic Auto Mall and unwrap your potential future rod, you'll be sure to be left with a sweet taste in your mouth as you drive away.
