1951 Ford Country Squire Description

This is a very solid project woodie, that has been stored for several years. It's spent its lifetime in Southern California and Arizona. It has had virtually all of the interior removed (and these parts included in the sale) so the floor could be patched and sealed. These parts - including those pictured plus many others - are included in the sale. The car runs, drives, turns, and stops well. It has been converted to a 12-volt system. While there is no wood with this car, I do have a brand new Rick Mack wood kit available in a separate ebay listing for sale (#233399376092).

While this woodie currently has a good-running stock 239 V8 engine and 3-speed w/overdrive manual transmission (on the column), it is currently at the stage where you could either build it out restored and have yourself a very valuable classic - or modify the drive-train and have a very popular hot rod. There is some minor body work yet to do over the left rear wheel-well and also to smooth out the repaired rockers - but overall very minor. It has near-new tires.
While some superficial wood trim has been used on woodies since 1951, that was the last year for the completely wood-sided Ford and Mercury. These are VERY cool cars to own and fun to drive. They also have a network of very cool owners throughout the country. Not only is there a National Woodie Club, but several regional chapters as well.
It carries a clean CA non-op registration. The odometer currently shows 44,000 miles but age and mechanical odometer limitations tell me there's probably more.
