Real 1938 cabriolet Ford. Older restoration with many new updates completed while the previous owner had the car from July 2013 to November 2019. In the pictures you will see a detailed accounting of what was done in the past 6 years. You will also see a bill of sale from when he bought the car in 2013 for $45,000. In those 6 years since he had spent about $7,600 in parts to improve the car(not including his labor time). You can see the details of what was done in the pictures of the record book he kept.
The previous owner had originally purchased the car in 1951. He traded it for a motorcycle and in 2013 came across his old car and decided to buy it back. Over the years it had been updated and restored. It was very nice job but he spent the next 6 years improving upon it.
Right now the car is in very good condition inside and out as you can see in the pictures. The paint is about 20 years old and still looks excellent and has a great shine. It does show some age due to nicks and chips over the years most of which are located in the normal areas around where door and hoods open and close. There have been many updates recently which include 4 new tires and tubes, electric fuel pump, trans and differential serviced and new ring and pinion gears, rebuilt master cylinder, rebuilt starter, rebuilt dist., new water pump, 2 rebuilt Stromburg carbs, the list goes on and on.
There has been a lot of money and care put in this car. It is not a perfect showpiece but it is a very nice quality car you can use and enjoy
