Also known as the “Feature Car”, “Limited Edition”, or “Summer Special”, the Summer Edition was the special edition Mustang trim for the 1992 model year. It’s also known as a 1992 ½ due to its mid-year release.
This car was essentially a follow-up tothe 7-Up Mustang from two years prior. It included the same white leather interior with black contrast stitching and white power convertible top.
In 1992 Ford built 2,193 Mustangs that were "Summer Edition" Mustangs. These cars were all painted Vibrant Red, including the body moldings and trim that was black on regular Mustangs. The interiors were all white leather with black piping on the seats. pearl white powder coated 16" Pearlescent Pony wheels, and the trunk lid spoiler with no luggage rack, white door panels, ebony interior components including map pockets and a white top. 302 H.O. V8 engine with 225 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. Drivers could select either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission.
This classic 1992 Mustang LX 5.0 Summer Special rolled off the assembly line 27 years ago.Ford produced only 2193 code 1FACP44E making this Mustang a very collectible fox body original.
