1961 Ford Ranchero Deluxe Description

There's more than first meets the eye with this 1961 Ford Ranchero Deluxe mild custom. What you are looking at is the result of countless hours of hand crafted original ideas brought together in a way to make it look as though nothing has been changed.

The origination of the custom (or Kustom) started with guys adding parts from higher end cars to make their lower model cars look more extravagant. The tradition continues with this well built and thought out mild custom built by it's owner at home.

We'll start at the front and work our way back on the highlights that might go unnoticed.

•1968 Camaro rear bumper for the front bumper
•Leading edge of hood and fenders extended and peaked
•1968 Camaro header panel pie cut and fitted for lower valence
•1955 Oldsmobile headlight rings, canted and set into fenders
•1960 Ford falcon grill
•“nosed” hood removing FORD letters
•New aluminum radiator
•Freshly rebuilt 200 cubic inch straight six, new carb, fuel pump, etc
•Stock split exhaust manifold, 2-4, with true dual 2” exhaust running full length to “fish tail” exhaust tips
•Rebuilt C4 “green dot” automatic
•Rebuilt driveshaft
•Hood scoop opened up and made functional

•1959 Buick tail light lenses adapted to stainless steel mixing bowl bezels and LED lighting
•Tailgate was reskinned eliminating emblems and repairing rust “decked”
•Original bumper modified for roll pan.
•Narrowed 1969 Camaro rear bumper
•Custom blended House of Kolor kandy bradywine base over black with fades and pearl gold highlights. The top features old school lace job. It’s very hard to capture it’s beauty in pictures.

The interior still needs the carpet and headliner. The windshield and back glass weatherstrip are included but it will need all other weatherstrip. The paint could use a cut and buff to remove imperfections in the clear. Although th transmission was rebuilt and functions fine, the torque convertor seal was damaged during install and leaks a little sometimes.
