Up for auction is a very nice 1987 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer 4x4. This Bronco is in all original, unmolested condition and shows very well. This Bronco sold new at Evergreen Ford of Sandpoint, ID on March 31, 1987 and was brought South to Lewiston, ID where the original owner lived. This Bronco remained in Lewiston, ID, a very dry region of the state, for most of its life. This Bronco has only had 2 owners since new. It is equipped with the Eddie Bauer package, the highest trim level of the year, and is equipped with power windows, power door locks, cruise control, tilt wheel and air conditioning. The original Ford cassette deck radio still remains in Bronco as well.
The interior of this Bronco is beautiful and all original. The tan cloth seats are in great shape. There is a small slit that has been stitched on the bottom outer seat bolster on the driver's seat as shown, but the passenger seat and rear bench are flawless. The carpets are in excellent condition and are free of any staining, fading or ripping. The dash is entirely free of any cracking or fading. All of the gauges work and are in excellent condition. The headliner is excellent without any loose or sagging areas.
The exterior of this Bronco is beautiful. There are a few small road chips and small blemishes throughout, which are typical of the age and mileage of the Bronco, along with a scratch which has been touched up at the front of the passenger fender, but no other major defects. The paint on the sides of the Bronco are all original, however the hood, roof and tailgate have been repainted at some time. The paint match is very good. The body is very straight and all of the doors, hood and rear tailgate open and close with excellent alignment. This Bronco is very rust free and solid with only minor surface rust on the frame and suspension components. The door bottoms and floor pans are very clean and solid as shown in the photos. The original spare tire and wheel remain on the Bronco with the original Ford pad lock and key included!
The Bronco shows 95,450 miles, however it has likely rolled over once. The previous owner claimed that the original engine was replaced with a Ford remanufactured 351 long block approximately 30,000 miles ago. The engine runs smoothly with excellent power. The automatic overdrive transmission shifts smoothly. The push button 4x4 engages in both high and low positions.
Included with the sale are all of the original Ford Bronco owner's manuals and pamphlets, the original warranty protecto plate, original key code tags and the original dealership document folder from new with the original salesman's business card.
