1972 Ford F350 Camper Special Cab & Chassis | Low Mile Barn Find
1972 Ford Other Pickups Camper Special Description
I purchased this truck with a camper on it 3 years ago from a guy in Ohio. It had sat in a local barn for many years prior to his purchase. He used it as a camper for several trips, but then one of the heads cracked and he decided to sell it. After I bought it and brought it to Michigan, it sat in my barn for a time. My goal was to do a complete interior rebuild and complete truck restoration. While I worked on designing the new interior, I had the engine worked on at a local shop. New Heads, Head Gaskets, Front Trans Pump Gasket, Trans Filter Kit, Points Elimination Kit, Plugs/Wires, Holley 4 Barrel, K&N Air Filter, etc. (Have receipts.) She does run good! Life got busy... I couldn't get to it. Fast forward to now--I finallyfound some time to work on it. I jacked the camper body off of the chassis and in the process uncovered water damage in the floor and walls to the extent that it was too far gone to save, and made a tough decision to scrap the camper and move on.
The truck is solid! Paint is original, with some minor touchup behind the front wheels. 3 Speed auto shifts well. Brakes are good. Tires are weather checked but driveable. All glass is spotless. Lights, gauges, fan blower etc. all work properly with the exception of fuel gauge due to a wire or sending unit issue. (The aftermarket tach has not worked since I purchased it.)Only 68,726 Original Miles! I also have all the owners manuals.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions andI'll be happy to help. For serious inquiries, I can do aFaceTime video tour and engine start.
