1932 Ford 5-Window Original Henry Ford Steel Project Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as celebrate our 21st year in the classic automobile business located in Fredericksburg nestled in the Texas Hill Country We are pretty excited to share one of the most iconic cars to build. Our featured 1932 Texas titled Henry Ford all steel 5 window coupe. Not only is it cool to be able to buy one but one can finish it to their liking. I actually would clear coat the metal as I think it looks way cool like it is. I am assisting one of my friends in selling his childhood dream car. He had one as a teen-ager but had to sell it to get an old truck for the family business. I believe he told me he has had this car for like 20 years and restoring it himself time just passes by.. His vision was a fifties fenderless hot rod HIGH-BOY 5 window NON-Chopped roof. The engine he chose was a rebuilt 1959 Chevrolet 283 ci V8 factory Power-Pack heads and 4bbl carb. It is crazy how he did the transmission using a 66ish Ford synchronized Mustang floor shifted 3 speed manual connected to the enclosed driveshaft. He had a couple of components custom machined and has incorporated an original 1939 shifter to the top of the transmission. It is pretty amazing the subtle craftsmanship that is in this historic Ford. The body has no rust issues to deal with. It comes with the Henry Ford steel body, original floorboards, original doors, firewall, trunk lid, grill, headlights, Garnish Moldings, Roof Tack strips, seat frame and springs, latches, window regulators, and even a metal roof insert taken from a 1964 Corvair Monza coupe (He says it's the perfect fit as he was going to install the metal but wrap with a fabric and use the original tack strips so it would be canvas but have a solid base. (It amazes me how someone figures out the Corvair roof will fit a 32 perfectly. The frame is a custom built Blackboard Hot Rods from Bakersfield, California. The front axle is an original 1932 that has been dropped for the right look. The rear end is a 1940 Ford 3.54 Ring & Pinion 1941 Ford Radias. The rear axles has been converted to "Hot Rod Works" Ford 9" style axles. The rear brakes are 1939-1941 Ford backing plates with NOS drums. The front brakes are Reproduction Lincoln backing plates, wheel cylinders, shoes and drums (Early V8 Garage in Los Angeles, Ca. Brake and clutch assembly is from a 39 Ford. The steering wheel is an original 1937 Banjo in excellent condition. The steering gear box is from a 1953 Ford F100 truck with a NOS pitman arm. It includes 1948 Mercury 15" front steel wheels and 1953-1956 F100 15" rear wheels. A new HD Walker radiator is included. StreetDreamsTexas can assist in worldwide shipping. This vehicle is a bit different than we normally stock but I am pretty excited to be able to share this mans dream with the world. It is shown by appointment only. Thank you for looking
