1937 Ford 1 1/2 Ton Farm Truck Description

Partially restored 1937 Ford 1 ½ ton farm truck with a wooden flat bed. Current owner purchased the Ford out of California 3 years ago where the restoration began.

The mileage showing (76,000) is believed to be original and all of the gauges and lights work on the original 6-volt system. This is also the charging system.The starting system has been wired for a 12-volt battery for easy starts. The 12-volt battery does not charge as the truck is driven.

Body appears to be solid with no rust showing. The cowl vent and front windshield open as they did in 1937. Exterior chrome is in good condition and the glass does not appear to be fogging in any areas. Windows go up and down as normal.

The Flathead V-8 is believed to be the original to the truck and appears to have been rebuilt due to the ease of starting and the smoothness of its running. No over-heating issues. Original stock 4-speed transmission with a ‘granny’ first gear and a low ratio rear differential for hauling. Top speed is probably 45 mph.

Frame is believed original and has no rust or rot only surface scale.

Interior is stock and appears to have been redone, but age is unknown. No cracks or tears.

Selling because interests have changed.

The truck is titled in Pennsylvania and it’s clear.
