1973 Ford Bronco Ranger Description

1973 FORD BRONCO RANGER “LUBR”

Since 2013, driven less than 3,800 miles (22,762 shown on odometer at purchase), currently at 26,550 on odometer, with less than 600 miles added since the work done in June & August 2018. New primary gas tank installed December 2019. This u15 serial “LUBR” (lifted, uncut Bronco) has rare original roof rack and double gas tanks.

This has a very good 302 2V motor, with the block being replaced in 08/2018, an electronic temp control fan, and new radiator. Additionally, in 06/2018, the heads were replaced along with Ford Racing valve covers, a new Edelbrock air filter assembly (factory original air intake still included), and all cylinder, valve, timing, and exhaust manifold gaskets and bolts replaced. Work performed by ProModular Performance in Austin, TX.

Will include new-in-box Retrosound Motor 3 Bluetooth deck and Retrosound Huntington Radio Face. These fit factory radio holes in dash (need to be punched) and look period-correct with modern tech. This would free up under dash for future installation of Vintage-Aire type A/C if buyer wanted.

As of purchase in October 2013:

It had fresh belts, hoses, and related filters. It has factory 4.5:1 ratio power steering, power brakes, hood shocks, and is color matched under the hood. The transmission is a 3 speed manual with factory three-on-the-tree linkage. The clutch is brand new and is a LUK Clutch Pak with diaphragm pressure plate, resurfaced flywheel with new ring gear and new disc with throwout bearing. It also has a new pilot bushing and new rear main seal. The battery cables were replaced and wiring was checked. The plugs and plug wiring were refreshed as well.

The suspension is upgraded with a 3.5" lift, new progressive coils, new 7 degree "C" bushings, new Pro Comp shocks, new extended drive shaft (2 1/4" extension) spring blocks and 9/16 HD u-bolts. 4:11.1 Posi-Trac rear end. The brakes are refreshed at all 4 corners and the power brake module is new. The rear brake line is an extended SS brake line for the extra height. The shocks are long travel Pro Comp. The rear tank is a 24 gallon tank and the 7 gallon auxiliary tank is stock. A new brass switch valve has been installed with new fuel line hoses.

The interior is brand new. The floors are insulated with foil backed jute, new carpet, new seating, new door and quarter upholstery, new 6 point roll bar, new 3 point restraints in front, new dash pad, and fire extinguisher. The hardtop has excellent original glass, the rare chrome drip lip and factory luggage rack.

5 new 31X10.50R15 mud terrains were installed on factory steel wheels with new hubcaps. The exhaust is brand new stainless Magnaflow with aluminized pipe. The look is stock but enhanced on this hard-to-find "Uncut"Bronco. There is adequate clearance for suspension travel with the 31's and highway speeds are more easily attainable with the larger tires.

As-is purchase, no warranty included.
