Since I purchased the truck I have replace a goodly amount of items, here they are in no specific order:steering gear boxpower steering pumpalternatorfuel tankmufflerfuel injectorsfuel pumpfuel filterplus, wires, cap rotordistributorignition modulevacuum linesnew brake fluidexhaust manifold gasketsinstalled actual oil-pressure gaugenew tires BF Goodrich 31x10.5 R15other stuff I can think off I am sure
Air works great, has since I bought (see build). Truck runs and drives great (in general)The cluster is not the original, previous owner added one with tach. I have the original that goes with truck.
So many good things about the truck and here are a few that are not so good:
- cannot open passenger door from inside, outside only
- truck only has rear gas tank, as shown in photos
- a little water leak from the windshield, I sealed the cowl, still a little leak during heavy rain (passenger foot), so I assume it comes from the windshield.
- there is an air-leak around the passenger side door at speed. I could not locate
- the 4x4 works, but I have not engaged it recently. (when I did a bit of a grind) Manual locking hubs.
- after warm up, the idle can be a little jumpy, truck runs and accels great warm or not, only this idle miss after warm up (video:https://youtu.be/bhILgFDvCNU)
- I have had a stutter on shifting occasionally. Turning off the Overdrive in town stops the problem. I have not spent anytime trying to fix this.
- look at the photos, the paint is nice, not perfect, I attempted to document. The bed rails had plastic covers, I took off, the paint underneath is not as nice as the rest of the truck.
- the bumper filler has 4 ugly holes from a poorly installed brush guard. (should have been attached to bumper) See photo. I have a replacement filler you can have. You install. I have the brush guard and the tow hitch you can have as well.
- The battery has a slow drain on it, it needs to be kept on a tender if left for more than a week without running.
I don't want anyone to buy the truck and be disappointed, that is why I posted the good and the bad. I am happy to answer any question about the truck within reason
