1957 Ford Thunderbird Description

This 1957 T-Bird is a “barn find” one-owner car in nearly original condition. It has a 312 cubic inch V8 engine with 4-barrel carburetor, 3-speed manual transmission, fiberglass hardtop in good condition, and a soft convertible top needing total restoration. The chassis and suspension appear to be all original, the exhaust system is intact. The interior is original but shows signs of aging. The headliner in the hardtop is intact but shows some separation by the rear window. All of the gauges are clear and the front of the dash is in good condition though the padded portion has some distortion. The seats are in good condition. The Flame Red paint appears to be original but is oxidized and has a low luster. A finish depth check by an appraiser did not indicate any rust or filler being present. The paint does have a few scratches and chips, and there is a small dent by one of the wheels. The windshield and other glass are in good condition, including the wing windows. The only part of the car that does not appear original is a modern Holly 4-barrel carburetor currently mounted on the intake manifold.

Update 2/24/2020--Twelve photos of the vehicle have been added. After looking more closely at the door jams, it appears possible the car has been repainted though there is no mention of new paint in a professionalappraisal done for the vehicle.
