1963 Ford Galaxie 500 Description

1963 Ford Galaxie 500 Fastback - Q CODE 427 4-spd

VIN: 3U66Q154698

Up for auction is a Real Deal 1963 Galaxie Q-code 427 4 SPD car with 57622 miles on it. I’m listing this for a friend of mine, the car belonged to his late father, and they just feel it’s time to move it on. The story goes 25 years ago his father started out on the hunt for one of these cars, after having many powerful fords this was the car he had always wanted. He found this exact car in the Hemmings motor news and spoke to the owner about it, the owner was planning on bringing the car to Carlisle that year and his Dad made a plan to go see it. But as luck would have it the car made it to Carlisle but never even got off the trailer as it was sold before even getting the chance to make an offer. His dad did however give his name and number to the new owner who lived in Florida and told him that if he ever wanted to sell the car to please give him the first shot. And after a few years he got that exact call, asking if he wanted to buy the car and he jumped on the opportunity, that was 20 years ago.

This Raven Black / Red on Red interior still shines and turns heads everywhere it goes. The car has an aftermarket fiberglass bubble hood but will come with an original flat steel hood (white in color). Also included with the sale are a set of factory Steel wheels with the Dog Dish caps, and the exact size tires that are on the Weld rims today. Car has newer Stainless exhaust that he painted black to maintain original look, the carbs had been rebuilt a few years ago and it has been properly cared for while stored.

This is a unique opportunity to own a piece of FoMoCo history.

Here is a quick walk around video of the car.
