1966 Ford E-Series Van Description
***I found a website that allows me to input the van VIN to get the original specs. I posted that info at the bottom of this item description.
#1 thing to know(for those of you inexperienced at old car registration or located in strict states)==NO TITLE. Lost. Not necessary for something this old. This is NOT stolen. Been sitting on my family land since mid 80’s. Father traded an earthmoving project for this van in mid 80’s. I barely remember helping him do the project and hauling this home(I was about 9-11 years old).

>>>>>Buy this rare van before I inflate profit by selling it piece by piece. I would hate to ruin someone’s chance at restoring it to it original “Eastern Airlines” look. It would be a shame to be parted out. Also....before I invest in the labor or dismantling it...here is your chance!!! I already have messages from people wanting: engine, trans, pedals, dash cluster, doors(no matter what condition for pieces) body, trim, engine cover...etc!
Yes, I have seen the mega high dollar travel van series ford van based on this platform. They are on websites and Hemmings motor websites. This would be a cool van to make into a “travel van”.
I can’t seem to find any vans like this(year and configuration/specs/style) for sale anywhere UNrestored. The object of purchase would be because it’s rare, cheap, different. Or, you can buy to use it for parts. There is one van similar to this that is for sale on the other side of the country. It’s a former fire fighter van. Expensive.
Would be great to be restored for use in movie scenes.Eastern Airlines memorabilia! The logo is simple. Measure and/or make a template for a new one when you restore it. Actually, for movie scenes, have magnetic logos for: Pan-Am, Delta, American Airlines.....
- I actually sold this on eBay a few days ago. For around2k. I never got to know who the buyer was. eBay blocked them buyer and me the seller from contacting each other and deleted my listing. This is the new listing. I’m putting it here for you to get a chance to buy before the original person who wanted sees it. At a discount! (Because I had to pay the fees!!) here is your chance! I want to sell this fast.Van has moss and tree sap all over it. It is in its original habitat setting. I have done nothing to try to clean up its appearance. It is sitting just as-is.The van says “heavy duty” on the side chrome emblem. (Specs for Van say that heavy duty indicates a better, stronger frame). It is a window van. Please verify the specs on the van based on the vin. number provided. I am not an expert in old ford vans enough to verify anything. ***please do your own research as to the specs of this van and make your own assessment. You are responsible for your own research. As-Is.Hurry and buy. It’s a rare Falcon window style van. Yet the heavy duty version. The falcon window is the v shaped behind front doors. I’ve seen restore ones go for $30k on Hemmings. I will raise price soon if this becomes hassle. If you buy it now, please pay immediately by using the checkout method with PayPal.

If you have questions, ask. Look for the “ask seller a question” link. It’s hard to find but it’s somewhere on the listing below the feedback section. I am an easy going guy. Feel free to ask any question!
No title.
Last tagged in 1983. Maybe 1985 if I cleaned off the little tag stickers on license plate.
Been sitting in this exact spot since 1980s.
Will need ample time and dry weather to cut the trees around it and drag it down off mountain out of woods to load on to your trailer. Please Keep this in mind. I am easy going. You please be easy going.
Tires will rolls off rim once I drag it out of woods and down mountain. Can load onto to your trailer by using a piece of my heavy equipment. Keep in mind it probably won’t roll once I drag it out of woods. Tires are old and will probably go flat and roll off the rims. We have slippery red Georgia clay here. Van will more then likely have a lot of clay underneath it once I drag it out of woods.
I have never tried to turn the motor over. I don’t plan on it. Buy it as-is. I would assume you would overhaul the engine anyway if you were to restore this. I know a little bit a bit mechanic work as I own a heavy equipment business. You’d yank the motor, disassemble, send the block and head to your local machine shop, get an a an evaluation of cracks or issues, get machine work, order engine kit, and build it. That’s if you want the van to have the original power plant (low power). Otherwise, you transplant in a modern v8 for power.
Expect this to need major restoration as far as the body goes. The top level of the van looks goods. Could be worse if it was from up north. It has a small accident damage to front driver front corner. Doesn’t seem to have pushed the main body corner back. It’s mostly the rounded headlamp styling portion of front end. Can be fixed by a professional that restores old cars. Weld tabs and use a puller.
Lower corners “may” (but not for sure) have rust and issues as this has sat under pine trees that drop pine needles and clog body drains. Typical of a vehicle this old that has been sitting.
JUST TO BE SAFE: Expect the worst even though there are some good points to this van.
Has the rare V-shape window behind from doors. HARD TO FIND. VANS ARE ALL THE RAGE RIGHT NOW. A RARE VAN.
Has an odd dent in glove box portion of dash. Looks to be easily fixable. Make sure you know this.
****Please be a knowledgeable bidder. I may have the the year listed wrong? If so, write me and tell me. Thanks. Please do you own research of the VIN and specs of this vehicle. I cannot be responsible for error in describing this rare vehicle.
This was an Eastern Airlines Van that was later turned into a local heating and air van. It was probably parked due to the front corner accident. Possibly. Don’t know.
Would look super cool to be restored to the original blue with EASTERN AIRLINES paint scheme. I am just guessing but....this could have been an old van used at the ATLANTA, CHATTANOOGA or close by area airport back in the day.
Still has Heating and A/C stuff in it from 1983. You can have it all. If you don't want it, Leave it here and I will haul it off for scrap.
There are some lower portions of the van where the paint is cracking and flaking off. It almost looks as if the paint was extra thick...or may have slight skim coat of some kind of ancient body filler from back in the day. I really don't know. See pics.
*****very important!!! For privacy(because I have a lot of vintage stuff), I alter my location on eBay 40-60miles or so. My actual location is zip code 3 o 5 1 2. Please google it. If you look at the state of Georgia, I am located in the top right hand corner where Georgia touches Tennessee and North Carolina. South Carolina isn’t too far! I am in the mountains. I am 2 hours or less from Atlanta, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Greenville, and Asheville. The Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River casino is in the next door county. Helen Georgia (the German tourist town) is in the next door county. Please note my ACTUAL PRECISE location and be aware!!
******About Payment: - I expect to be paid by PayPal here on eBay as soon as you click “Buy It Now”. Please ask all questions before you click Buy It Now. Once you purchase this on ebay, it is yours. No refund. No warranty. No guarantee. As-is. Please do not expect to come to pick it up with cash in (if it meets your expectations) hand after you have clicked “buy it now”. You should ask questions and come inspect it prior to clicking “buy it now”. If you click “buy it now” then you are acknowledging that you are buying this site unseen by using eBay. There will be no negotiations on price when you come to pick it up and you nitpick it asking for a discount. I will not be able to refund any money. You can come to look at the van and pay cash if it is outside of eBay. But, I prefer to use eBay. That is why I am using this site. I prefer eBay checkout method and being paid by PayPal. Thanks!
*****About shipping: I am an easy going guy. You can wait up until a month to figure out how to come get the van. Just don’t hold me accountable if a tornado flies through and damages it after your purchase! Haha.- if you need shipping. I suggest you visit the site called USHIP. Google it. It’s free to make a profile and to list this item to accepts shipping bids from small time diesel pickup and trailer car movers! Try it out!! You’ll like it!!!!
