Only 850 miles since meticulous 3 1/2 year build. The man I bought it from was holding back the tears. We posted a picture of a letter he wrote to the next owner, that I found in the paperwork. A lot of pride went into making this fantastic got rod.
EXTERIOR: Pristine. The fit and finish are #1. The body, fenders etc are straight with absolutely no damage, rust etc, it's all new!the paint is laid out evenly and the clear coat is polished smooth to look wet. Stunning color too. It is actually a Toyota color, paint code and touch up is included. The cab is fiberglass and is extended 8.5 inches for easier in and out. No exposed hinges for a clean look. Has steel, removable hood with no sides. In front it has 32 grill shell, chrome headlight bar, headlights with stainless braided wire loom. Front fenders are fiberglass. Rear box and fenders are steel. Tailgate has Ford script and does open. Classic style taillights have LED bulbs. New smoked glass. Has working wipers, displayed with chrome caps, wiper arms are included. The rims are powder coated red with vintage style trim. Has bigger tires in back for a cool hot rod stance.
INTERIOR: Wow, the interior really pops. All bright red and meticulously done. Glovesoft, actual leather on a new comfortable seat. The entire inside of the cab is custom upholstered in the exact same shade of red. Also has red carpeting with sewn edges and matching floor mats. Dash is painted the color of the body and has a really nice looking set of Classic Industries gauges. Nice looking Vintage Air heat controls with backlit knobs. Has aluminum tilt steering column with a beautiful polished wood rim wheel and banjo spokes. Overhead it has a console with a stereo, dome light and power window switches. Specialty power windows with contact buttons in the jambs, no wires. Has 4 speakers, 12 volt receptacles, billet pedals, E-Z wiring harness with schematics. Very comfortable, nice positioning of the pedals, steering wheel etc. Remember this body is 8 1/2 inches longer then original for more room. The seat is reclining and slides back and forth. New Hurst shifter and has e-brake handle.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Rebuilt Ford 302 motor with Edelbrock e-street aluminum heads, aluminum intake and a chrome plated Edelbrock carb. Lokar throttle assembly. Has 10:1 compression, new HEI ignition system. Aluminum water pump and radiator with electric fan keeps it cool. Everything's new- the sending units, fuel pump, flexible braided stainless dipstick, wires, hoses etc. Has a custom painted 55 Cadillac air cleaner.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the bed is painted as nice as the outside. Has clear coated oak boards and stainless strips. Relocated fuel door in the bed floor.
UNDERSIDE: It looks brand new because it practically is. Everything was meticulously installed. The chassis has been powder coated black. 9 " 3.00 posi t5 treme powder coated chassis aluminized exhaust Upfront has polished stainless steel suspension with tubular control arms, coilover shocks and sway bar. Has rack and pinion steering. Bottom of the motor is immaculate, has a high torque starter. New Tremec T5 5-speed transmission. New custom polished driveshaft going back to a powder coated Ford 9 inch rear end. New 3.00 posi gears. Rear suspension has stainless tubular upper and lower control arms, coil over shocks. Very neatly bent exhaust system with turn down tips. All new brake system with disc in front. Has stainless braided hoses, new e-brake assembly. Custom made fuel tank, new sending unit and lines. You could eat off the bottom. On 2nd thought no, you wouldn't want to get the truck dirty!
