1946 Ford Cabover COE Custom Hot Rod Project 1 of a KInd. 80% complete. Amazing!
1946 Ford Cabover Pickup Description
I am selling my 1946 Ford Cabover Pickup Hot Rod project so that I can concentrate on my remaining 3 street rods.
It is licensed and registered (non-op) in California.
I have spent the last 6 years tearing it down to nuts and bolts. Fabricating a Alston Chassis Works custom chassis and then reassembling it with the utmost care. It has a professionally rebuilt Chevy 454, 4L80e auto trans, Ford 9" posi Traction Lock differential, Wilwood brakes, New 1950 Chevy bed that was custom fitted to the chassis, customized front and rear fenders. Nothing but the best materials. Engine runs and is broken in. Trans was professionally rebuilt. Same with the narrowed differential. New wheels and tires. I have driven it in the driveway, but it needs to be sorted out before driving. New side window glass and rear glass. Need to make the 1-piece windshield (I can get it done locally for extra cost if you want). Power window lifts are ready to be installed. Much much more.
The cab is primed and ready for final paint (some of the photos show some blue on the cab. That has since been sanded to metal and primed). The paint (base & clearcoat) needed to complete the cab and other parts is included with the sale.
Look at the last 3 photos. This is what it looked like when I bought it. It was a really bad mechanical condition, so I began an "over the top" restoration. I just don't know when I will go back to work so I need to sell it.
Interior need to be completed. I have seats with pivot stands.
Sold as-is, no warranty or returns.
