1912 Ford Model T Torpedo Roadster Description

1912 Ford Model T - TORPEDO ROADSTER
Hey, thanks for checking out this rare Brass Era 1912 Ford Model T, these cars are getting harder to find, you do not see a Torpedo Roadster very often, you see more general Roadsters with the gas tank under the seat, and Mother-in-law seats, but the Torpedo was more of a Henry Ford Sport model if you want to call it that, a modern day Hot Rod, if you have never seen one of these cars, here you go this will be a treat. This car is owned by a very good friend of mine, he has owned it for many years. But it has come a time to thin the heard down a little bit, so this one has to go. This car has not been for sale to the public in a very long time, so hopefully we can find a great care taker for it here on Ebay. It is titled here in Oregon, as a 1912 Ford Model T.

Here is a general description of it, very clean T, take a look at all the photos inside and out. It is Finished in a light blue/green over black fenders, I have always liked the looks of this car, the first time I saw it, Chris pulled up at my shop in it, back in 2005, and I was like wow, what a car!!! That was my first ride in a Model T honestly, he taught me how to drive a model T as well, and I totally got the bug. It runs amazing, very smooth, never any trouble, and very reliable. The body tube and rear trunk section are original 1912, and hard to find.Torpedo Tank, slash aprons and tool box are all original as well.Fenders running boards and hood are early reproductions, and in very good shape. The engine is correct 1912 engine, transmission etc, if you look close at the hogs head, you will be able to see this is an original 12 engine etc. The rear end is upgraded with a Ruckstell option with later 1926-27 axle. Also has been upgraded with Rocky Mountain brakes all the way around. Runs off Magneto, and has battery has well. Hand crank, usually fires up first try, the car is dialed in mechanically. This car was built to drive, and it does that very well. The paint overall is over 30 years old, and still looks really nice, but shows its age in general, it has a very nice patina to it. It has been shown a lot and spent its fair share at different road events etc. Not pictures, we do have a tonneau cover, and matching side curtains. 30" Pasco Wire wheels, with Universal T Drive 30X3.5 tires, Fatman Steering wheel (check out the pictures, pretty cool flip up wheel), are nice adds. The headlights are really nice, but have never been lit up or used since he has owned. Carbide generator is reproduction as well. Give me a call if you need more information on it, there are over 100 photos below, it has an Oregon Title.
