About this vehicleThis 1962 Ford Falcon is an original with updates to the exterior. The owner has had it for 4 years. The vehicle needs work and is not regularly driven.Seller's NotesThe car is setup for three-on-the-tree manual shifting. It will need a new gas tank. Has a grille from a 63 Falcon. I'm sticking firm to the price as it is based off of the time and money i have put into the car.ExteriorThe bodywork on this vehicle is done. It is rust free inside and out. It has fresh paint which has never been exposed to the elements aside from when we moved it. There is some slight variation between the doors, hood and trunk lid and the body that can be corrected with one more coat. The engine bay is clean and the subframe is in great shape showing no signs of any wrecks. The colors match the codes on the VIN card. The brakes are shot but it comes with new drums, pistons and shoes and a new brake cylinder whichball have to be put in. The steering column works great. The shifter and clutch linkages all work smoothly. I have most of the original trim and have sourced other parts from ebay and craigslist. Some will still need to be found but its eit's easy enough, just takes some looking.InteriorThe interior paint is done and looks beautiful. It will need new seats, carpet, headliner and door panels. Most of the original chrome is still there either on the car or in the box of parts. I have the original radio and speaker but have no idea if they still work. I also have the original instrument cluster. The shifter and turn signal will need new plastic knobs. If you don't see something in the interior in the photos, it is in the box of parts. EngineThis car has a six cylinder engine from a 63 Falcon and a transmission from a 61. The bell housing is out of a 62 and the flywheel is out of a 61/62. The engine turns over but it is outside the car. It will need new hoses, fuel lines and spark plugs. I have a new alternator and bracket. The rear diff is in great shape. Some modifications will need to be made to the driveshaft as this car came with a Borg Warner and I have a Ford 2.77 3-speed. Both work but the driveshaft lengths are different. Engine mounts are brand new. The engine is clean, looks like it may have been rebuilt at some point.Deposits are refundable.Created on the eBay Motors app
