1973 Ford Maverick RESTOMOD! Rust Free California Car V8
1973 Ford Maverick restomod Description
Up for auction is my 1973 Ford Maverick Restomod. This Maverick has spent its entire life in sunny California and is still sporting its original blue license plate. Due to this it has a solid rust free body which is the most important factor in a classic car. This Maverick is quite rare coming from the factory with a 302 cubic inch V, automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes with front discs. Most Mavericks were equipped with a 6 cylinder and drum brakes. This was a great basis to build a restomod and the previous owner installed a later model fuel injected 302 with an automatic overdrive transmission. He also installed modern headlights (see photos)When I purchased the car it was an unfinished project and needed interior work and exterior paint as it was still in its original paint with some primer as body work had been started. I repainted the car in its original color of Saddle Bronze. I did not need to repaint under the hood, in the trunk or door jambs as they were in original good condition. New carpet, seat upholstery and sound / heat insulation was installed. The modifications that I made from stock are:New 15 inch American Racing Torque thrust wheels and Cooper Cobra tires.New cold air intake system.New NHRA approved battery box mounted in trunk.Front bumper shaved and tucked in 4 inches. Both bumpers painted Corvette Pewter.New rev counter, oil pressur, voltage and temp gauges installed.New front 3 point safety belts.I have made a video of the car and I would recommend anyone interested to watch it as it shows the car in detail and driving. Please call or email me with any questions ( Simon @ 559 349 3109 ) If you have less than 3 positive feedbacks please contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled, thanks.
