1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT Description

1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLTOriginal Walnut Glow and Light Sand paintRanger XLT and Towing SpecialRust Free California BroncoOriginal 400cid V8 motor8 lug axles conversionFREE DOOR TO DOOR DELIVERYUp for sale is a beautiful 1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT. This full size Bronco was ordered new by Burbank Motors Ford in beautiful downtown Burbank,CA on June 30th in 1978. The original owner wanted something he could take the family to the mountains with comfort as well as tow his boat. The Bronco was ordered with these needs in mind, starting with the top of the line Ranger XLT trim package, tilt, AC a larger fuel tank and of course a towing special complete with all the proper hookups and capabilities built in to tow. In fact out of the 93,536 Broncos built in 1979 only 409 were built as Ranger XLTs in Walnut Glow and Light Sand, that is less than half of 1% of the total Broncos built. I wonder how many are still around today? I also wonder how many still have the original Walnut Glow/ light sand paint with all of the original Ranger XLT/ Trailer Special emblems and moldings, I bet that is an even smaller number.Cosmetically this Bronco is in exceptional shape for a 41 year old 4x4 truck. The Bronco has never driven into a body shop. The body is very straightwith no rust anywhere. The Walnut Glow and Light sand paint is 100% original and has aged very nicely. It is vibrant and shines beautifully. All of the originalglass is in tact with all of the original trim and emblems as well. Any vehicle can be restored but they are only original once and it is remarkable how nice this body has aged.Step up into this beast and the interior is in great shape. The original headliner and Ranger XLT paneling is all in good shape front to back. The faux wood dash and steering wheel inserts is also in good shape and has not peeled. The Ranger XLT emblem on the glove box is still vibrant. The originalfront seat does have a tear on the drivers side but is still lush and comfortable and none of the foam is missing. The rear seat has been removed. I do have another good Bronco rear seat however the upholstery does not match. All of the carpet is brand new and looks great. When the carpet was installed there was absolutely no corrosion or even a slight mark on the floor pansthey looked like new.Mechanically this Bronco runs and drives. The original 400cid V8 starts up and sounds good. An Edlebrock performance series carb has been added as well as a MSD distributor. A larger fuel cell was installed. The stock 5 lug Bronco suspension has been swapped with an 8 lug heavier duty suspension from a Ford F-250 4x4. The front axle is a Dana 44 and the rear is a Dana 60. The Bronco is drive able and looks coolhowever I feel the lift is too much and should be dialed down for a better driving experience. Its a rough rider built for back country4 wheeling, its a loaded up 79 Bronco that's drives like a 69 F-250 highboy. This listing includes well over 150 detailed photos in various lighting and the vehicle has been described as descriptive as possible.
