1968 Ford Torino GT Formal Roof
1968 Ford Torino GT Description
Really nice 1968 Ford Torino GT Formal Roof car. Survivor car that I purchased from the original family. Pretty solid car throughout although I have added a couple pictures of the very worst places that are starting to show. The car has been painted once after it was bumped in the front passenger corner at some time in the past. It is not noticeable now and did not involve any structural members - cosmetic only. It has been setting since 1995 but was in the dry for the majority of the time. I have gotten the engine running but that is about as far as I have gotten. I have not tried to drive it since the brakes are not functional now. I can send a video of it running if needed. It has brand new BF Goodrich TA tires and really nice chrome GT beauty wheelstrim rings and caps. The breather and VIN say its a 289 but I understand this was a transition year for Ford going from the 289 to the 302. It could be one of the last 289 cars!
It is showing 94,000 miles and the original owner believed it is accurate. The car is completely original except for a set of long tube headers and full dual exhaust. The interior is all original and in great shape with the exception of one tear in the headliner (pic) This is a fairly rare car with the formal roof. I have tried to be as honest about all I know but am happy to answer any questions or send additional pictures as requested. I have a clear NC title for the car.
