1985 Ford Bronco Xlt Description

This is a very nice 1985 Ford Bronco XLT. It's always been registered in Arizona. I don't know much about the history of this vehicle. I do know by looking at what's been done to it, somebody spent quite a bit of money on it keeping it up-to-date, and refreshing it.

I will do my best to describe the Bronco, but please be aware that I've only driven this car about 10 minutes. It ran, drove and brakes as you would expect. Seems to be in very good condition. I drove it on a hundred degree day and it stayed nice and cool, oil pressure is good. Clutch is great. The brakes stopped it like it should.

This Bronco started out from the factory with an inline 6 300 engine, 4-speed. It is now a V8 351 for Speed. The job seems to be very nicely done, includes catalytic converters Etc. The truck did come from the factory with air condition, but it is missing the brackets and compressor for the V8 engine. What it would take to get functioning air conditioning would be up to you to find out. The truck will pass emissions, but looking at the recordstit seems to always fail on the first attempt. It barely fails on the NOX. I assume this is because the emissions testing station goes by the VIN number, and goes by the standard for emissions for the 6 cylinder engine would be. But it always seems to pass after small adjustments are made. Usually for the n o x, just retarding the timing a little bit for the emissions test should get it through. It's probably isn't of any importance to about 95% of the people looking at this, but if you still have to have emissions done, on a vehicle this old, I just wanted to be honest.

The Bronco has nice rims and tires. The tires have great tread, please look at the picture. I would say it has at least 90% tread. They are Falken tires.

The underneath is clean as can be. Please look at the pictures. Doors open and shut as they should. The removable tops in good condition.

Suspension is nice and tight, and quiet for a four-wheel drive like this. I was very impressed.

Interior is in okay shape. The two bench seats are nice there is no carpet, so you can see how nice the floorboards are. It is also missing the two plastic kick panel trim pieces as you can see in the pictures. To start the truck you need to turn the key on, and they're then there is a push to start button.

I've tried to describe this truck as accurately as I can, from the little bit of time I've had this truck. That doesn't mean that there are not things I might have missed. Please ask questions before you bid, if you have concerns. It is always suggested that you have the truck inspected for any concerns you have, before you bid. Please remember this truck is 35 years old. I will not answer any questions asking if this truck can make it back any particular location. From what I've seen, I don't see why not. But, anything can happen. This truck is sold as is with no warranties or guarantees. My description is just to give you an idea what this truck is, but not to be used as call for all your decision making.
