1976 Ford Mustang COBRA II 302 Automatic NICE DAILY DRIVER Charlies Angels FUN!!
1976 Ford Mustang Cobra II Description
For sale is a pretty awesome 1976 Ford Mustang Cobra II!
This car has a dressed up 302, with Weiand intake, finned valve covers, NEW Edelbrock 500cfm carburetor, Hedman headers, and electronic ignition. It is my belief that the engine was rebuilt not too long ago and has low miles on it. I have put about 300 miles on the car since I have owned it. It is backed by a rebuilt C4 automatic, and has FLOWMASTER exhaust that sounds awesome! It really scoots and it likes to go fast! There is at least $5k in the motor.
The front suspension was recently rebuilt and aligned. It drives straight and true. When I got it, this was not the case! I also just put 4 NEW Toyo tiresand new caps for the Cragar 5 spokes on it last week. I have gone over this car and fixed all the major mechanical issues it had when I got it.
The exterior of this car has been repainted, with painted on blue stripes. It is what I would call a "10 footer", as it is not super show quality, but it is definitely acceptable for an outdoor cruise-in, and it looks great driving around town. I can't believe how many thumbs up I get while driving this car! There is a small rust bubble behind the rear wheel on the driver's side, and some spots that should be touched up in the jambs and by the rear spoiler. See photos. Again, the paint isn't perfect but it looks awesome from the sidewalk when you drive by!
The interior is very nice for an original interior. The driver's armrest and seat show some wear, but the rear seat is very nice as is the passenger seat. The dash pad is in great shape! The headliner has a couple issues and will need to be replaced to be perfect. The accessory gauges (water temp, oil pressure, and battery) work but the fuel, tach and speedometer do not. Therefore, the odometer does not work either. It shows 62,xxx miles, but like I said, I've put about 300 miles on it. There is an original gauge cluster that comes with the car, I have not had time to install it. The carpet is original and is acceptable for a driver. See photos.
This is a great car for someone that wants to have a fun car to drive, and doesn't mind fixing a few things along the way to make the car REALLY NICE. I would say right now the car is a 4 out of 5. It wouldn't take much to make it a 5 out of 5! I simply have too many cars and this one is not a priority.
There is some wiggle room on the price, so don't be afraid to make an offer! First person with the right number gets it!
Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs, or you're welcome to come to Canon City, CO to pick it up. I have no problem storing the car for up to 14 days after the listing ends for the buyer. Please ask any questions before buying! Thank you and good luck!
