1955 Ford F-100 Description

1955 Ford F-100 shortbed pickup. I have good clean Utah title in my name. Vin on title matches vin on frame.. The frame is solid and straight. The tailgate is rusted through on the bottom outside. It will need a cover or replaced. The bed braces are good. The bed front panel is pretty straight. the wood floor and bed strips are junk. The bed sides and rails are very straight. this the short bed model. There is rust through on the right rear lower bed extension panel. Three fenders on the truck are repairable. The left front in my opinion is not. The cab drip rail is really nice and soli, a small spot of surface rust on the passenger side above the windsheild, I prodded it with a screwdriver and its solid. The roof has some drilled holes, looks like a antenna may have been mounted. They are covered with bondo other than that roof is very straight and solid. The back of the cab has small dents. The rear outer cab corners are rusted through. I think both cab outer cowl panels need replacing. Left one is rusted and the right one is damaged. They are available at LMC truck for under $100.00 for both. Doors are good on the bottom on the inside but rusted through on the bottom in spots on the outside. Left door looks like it has bondo in it. Right door looks pretty good with rust out on the bottom front. Sill panels have minor rust on the front. the back of the cab on the bottom looks solid The back section of the cab floor is rusted through in spots. It is probably repairable but I would replace the rear section of the floor. The front floor seems solid, I hammered on it and loosened surface rust. Battery box is good and the cover is good. Cab mounts are good. Gauge panel is good with all the gauges. Speedometer reads 49,678. Don't know if original miles or not. Windshield has chips and scratches, but no cracks, back glass is good. The gas tank looks clean inside but has dents on the bottom. No filler tube. Drivers window is plastic. Dash has a couple small extra holes and one where a Stewart Warner gauge is. The hood is not bolted on The hood may be repairable but I would replace it. The grille is rough but a extra real nice grille that comes with the truck. Two extra door shells come with the truck but they are rusted on the bottom also. The front splash pan is junk. Front bumper is a real straight original. Radiator support is straight as are the side filler panels. The panel above the radiator where the hood lock goes has a bolt hole that is torn. Inner fenders have minor rust on upper back corners. Frame has not been cut or whacked up. THE ENGINE and TRANS. It is a 5 liter (302) Fuel injected (EFI) from a 1986 Mercury Grand Marque. It has about 86 thousand miles on it. It came out of a good running, driving car. It has been sitting on a pallet covered in my garage for about 5 years. All the inlet, outlets and vacuum openings and lines were plugged or sealed when pulled. It will probably need the injectors cleaned and maybe the throttle body cleaned. It has a automatic overdrive transmission attached . I will set engine and trans in the engine bay for transport. I have the complete wiring harness for the car including the computer. I do not have the instrument cluster (I had it but cant find it, if I do you get it). Two sets of hood hinges, one set good, one with a broken stud on each one. I have the original 1955 radiator it is really nice. I also have the merc crossflow. 2 New repop turn lamp lens. A couple of boxes of misc parts. All extra parts will be put inside the cab for shipping. This is a great project with a very solid base and will make a great truck. I have a lot of photos but cannot send zip files through ebay.
