48 Ford Pickup old school rod with numerous body mods.
1948 Ford Pickup Description
Well boys and girls we have up for auction a 1948 Ford pickup old school rod.It has numerous modifications including all Ford running gear (289 v8 and c4 auto Trans).Usually someone has transplanter a small block Chevy and Trans in.It does have a rear ended from a 57 Chevy with 3:78 gears.Motor is all stock and runs like a clock.Transmission shifts as it should as well.Mustang 2 front suspension with rack and pinion manual steering with disk brakes.Has a 5"top chop, suicide doors using 50 Chevy hinges, box and frame were shortened 12" to give it that short look. Also has a flip hood that opens to the side.Only opens to the right side but access to the side of the motor is still easy. The front clip is from a 47or 48 Ford car that has been narrowed and shortened to make it fit the cowl perfectly.Interior is done in red and white and looks very period correct, also is in perfect shape as you can see in the photos.Outside door handles are remove for that smooth look.As you can see it has numerous louvers on the backs of the fenders, tailgate, firewall and dash. The tires are like new.All the body mods were done by the original owner/builder who was a body man by trade and very well respected in the area. This truck drives out fantastic and is a fun little pickup to drive.Sounds great with the dual exhaust and glass packs.I would not be afraid to jump in and drive it anywhere. As you can see this pickup is NOT a mail order build,it is built the way a real hot rod is built with what you have and frabricate what you need.A lot of the parts came from a early 70s Ford Maveick (gauges, fuel tank, motor and transmission and steering column).Like any car it does have a few things that could use attention such as windshield wipers, dash lights and speedometer don't work also has a small dent above passenger side on the top shown in the photos, front bumper has some road chips from being driven but do have some paint to repaint the bumper if you want to .There is so much to tell about the ride I hope I havnt left anything out.If you have any questions I can be reached at 308-631-2541.Now the serious part, the pickup is located in western Nebraska and I can help with loading but you will need to arrange transportation. Also will accept PayPal,or cashiers check or of course cash but truck will not leave until paid for in full.I will require $2000.00 within 48 hrs of close of auction and remainder within 7 days. Can keep it in safe enclosed storage for a reasonable amount of time at no charge. So let's go,happy bidding and good luck.
