Who said a convertible hardtop was a new idea. Ford came out with just such a car in 1957 and built them until 1959 as the Skyliner Hardtop convertible. This fine example of the last year of 1959 is truly an outstanding one. With the 332 Ford V-8 matched with the Cruise-o-matic automatic transmission this car is ready to drive. Some of the great accessory upgrades that came with this car was power steering, dual factory spotlights and dealer installed air-conditioning. Remember the plastic seat covers that protected your car from spills? This Ford Skyliner has them. Another upgrade was much of the inside trim and roof mechanism was chrome plated. This is a show stopper in every aspect. And to top it all off it even has a continental kit! The novelty of the convertible hardtop never wears out. So if you want one of the nicest we have seen in years to add to your collection or to be your first 50's car this would be a great one to own.
